AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2024

The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2024 Eligibility will be released by the exam conducting authority, i.e, AIIMS on its official website. As per the latest information regarding the AIIMS BSc Eligibility criteria, students need to pass higher secondary exams with at least 60% marks in aggregate. Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology must be the core subjects during the 10+2 level. A diploma degree in midwifery or general nursing is also essential as per AIIMS BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2024.

Candidates can apply for admission at AIIMS Colleges for B.Sc Nursing (Honours) and B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic) programmes by taking the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam 2024. It takes place once a year. Before applying for the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam 2024, candidates must ensure that they meet the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing eligibility criteria, which include gender, educational qualifications, and other requirements. The Detailed eligibility criteria for AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam 2024 are as follows:-

Both Male and females can apply for B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic) course.

Education Qualification

  • The applicant has completed class 12th under the science stream/Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognised university/board in India.
  • The following subjects should be included in qualifying examinations: English, physics, chemistry, and biology.
  • A candidate must score at least 55% on the qualifying exam (50% for SC/ST candidates).
  • Candidates who have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination from any recognised board are eligible to apply for BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) or Candidates who have passed class 11 on or before 1996 are also eligible to apply for the AIIMS Post Basic BSc Nursing course.
  • In addition, candidates must be registered with a state nursing council as a nurse, RN, RM (registered nurse, registered midwife).

AIIMS B.Sc. Eligibility Criteria for Foreign nationals

Foreign nationals are only admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi. For international candidates, the eligibility conditions will be the same as for Indian candidates. Foreign national candidates, on the other hand, are not required to take the Entrance Examination.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria For Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)

The eligibility criteria for OCI candidates align with the criteria outlined above for Indian candidates. However, there is a specific exemption for OCI candidates—they are not required to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Instead, OCI candidates must upload a scanned copy of their OCI card within the specified dates. This streamlined process facilitates the application procedure for Overseas Citizens of India aspiring to join the program.

AIIMS BSc Eligibility Criteria 2024: Qualifying Marks in HSC

According to the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2024 eligibility criteria, students must have completed their higher secondary education in the Science stream. Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology must be the core subjects at the 10+2 level. The category-wise minimum marks required at the high secondary level are listed below:

Note: In the case of AIIMS BSc Nursing Post Basic subjects, candidates need to pass a diploma in midwifery or general nursing with qualifying marks. There is no minimum marks requirement. Also, students who have passed 10+1 on or before 1986, are also eligible to sit for the test.

AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Post-basic Eligibility Criteria 2024

To be eligible for the AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Post-Basic program in 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of class 12 under the 10+2 system of education or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.
  • Candidates who passed 10+1 on or before 1986 are also eligible.

Nursing Diploma:

  • Possession of a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from any institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

Registration Requirements:

  • Candidates must be registered as a nurse, RN (Registered Nurse), and RM (Registered Midwife) with any State Nursing Council.

Additional Requirements for Male Nurses (if passed before 2003):

  • Male candidates, in addition to being registered as a nurse with the State Nursing Council, should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing.
  • Instead of training in Midwifery, male candidates should have undergone training in any one of the following subjects for a period of six months:

  • Ophthalmic Nursing
  • Leprosy Nursing
  • TB Nursing
  • Psychiatric Nursing
  • Neurological and NeuroSurgical Nursing
