AP DEECET 2026 eligibility criteria are that students must score 50% marks in the general category. On the other hand, they must score 45% in the reserved category in class 12 from a recognised board. The AP DEECET is conducted by the Department of School Education of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Nationality & Domicile Requirement

The candidates wanting to fill the online application form for appearing in the AP DEECET 2026 entrance should be Indian citizens. They should also fulfil all the local and non-local domicile rules as prescribed in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of admission) Order.

Educational Requirement

• The candidates should have passed their intermediate level or equivalent examination as decided by the AP DEECET examination conducting authority.

• Candidates are also required to score at least a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their qualifying examination to appear in the AP DEECET 2026 entrance. 

• The minimum aggregate of marks to be scored by the candidates belonging to the reservation categories i.e Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and the Physically Challenged candidate, is 45%.

Age Requirement

The candidates appearing for the AP DEECET 2026 entrance should be at least 17 years of age or above as on the 1st of September of the year of admission.

Subject-wise Requirements

Given below are the subject-wise requirements of AP DEECET 2026:

• Mathematics - Candidates are required to have mathematics as a compulsory subject at their intermediate level.

• Social Studies - Candidates are required to have any two of the lot, i.e Civics, Economics, History, Geography and Commerce as compulsory subjects at the intermediate level. 

• Biological Sciences - Candidates are required to have Botany and Zoology as their compulsory subjects at the intermediate level.

• Physical Science - Candidates are required to have studied Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects at the intermediate level.
