AP DEECET 2025 Exam (Over): Counselling Process (Ongoing), Application, Pattern, Result, Cutoff

AP DEECET 2025 counselling is ongoing. Document verification at DIETs for the selected candidates, followed by issuance of the final admission letter, was completed by July 22. Previously, the AP DEECET counselling commenced on July 8, and the provisional allotment for round 1 counselling was launched as per the schedule.

AP DEECET 2025 was held on June 2 - 3, 2025. The application process was held online from April 23 to May 8, after which the registered candidates were issued their AP DEECET 2025 admit cards on May 20, 2025. The results were released online on June 10, 2025

AP DEECET is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted by the Department of School Education of Government of Andhra Pradesh to offer admission to aspirants seeking admission into the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) courseoffered by the Government District Institutes of Education and Training (D.I.E.Ts) along with several other Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions in Andhra Pradesh. The AP DEECET entrance exam paves the way for almost 7000 vacant seats in Government DIETs and Private D.El.Ed Institutes in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

It is crucial to meet the AP DEECET eligibility to be considered for admission to all Government DIETs and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions. Check the main pointers below.

• The applicants must have completed the Intermediate examination or equivalent while applying for the test. Those appearing for the 12th can also apply. However, at the time of admission, they should have cleared 10+2.
• The students from the General Category must have obtained 50% of marks in aggregate in the 12th standard. Those from the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Challenged must have secured a minimum of 45%.
• The minimum age is 17 years as on September 1 in the year of enrolment.

AP DEECET application form is launched at apdeecet.apcfss.in. New users must pay the application fee initially. After successful fee payment, they will be issued the Candidate ID, which will be required to sign in to the “AP DEECET Candidate Login”

Once inside the dashboard, applicants can begin entering information such as Name, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Gender, Religion, Community, uploading photographs and signature, address for communication, etc, details. After submitting the form, they must take a printout of the AP DEECET application form.

It is important to know the AP DEECET exam pattern to be acquainted with the structure, duration, and marking scheme, among other aspects. The key particulars of the AP DEECET exam pattern are as follows:

• There are 2 parts in AP DEECET. Part A consists of Teaching Aptitude, General Knowledge, English, Telugu, Opted Language ( Telugu/ Tamil/ Urdu/ English), Mathematics, General Science, and Social Studies. Part B has Mathematics, Physical Science, Bio-Science, and Social Studies subjects. Out of the components of Part B, exam takers have to opt for one as per their eligibility.
• The overall mark in the entrance exam is 100. Part A and Part B have 60 marks and 40 marks, respectively.
• The exam duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• The questions are objective in nature.

AP DEECET syllabus is issued by the Directorate of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, along with the notification for the examination. The conducting body provides an outline of the key subjects to be covered for preparation.

The syllabus subjects are split into 2 segments. Part A topics are based on the Class 6 to 10 syllabus of Andhra Pradesh. The difficulty level of Part B areas is per the State Intermediate syllabus. 

AP DEECET admit card is launched online, typically a few days before the examination. It is compulsory to carry the hall ticket on the exam day along with a Government-issued photo ID card. AP DEECET admit card must be retained by the examinees after the examination, as they may be required to produce the same during the AP DEECET counselling process.

AP DEECET answer key is tentatively issued within a few weeks after the examination. Besides the preliminary key, the admission cell also furnishes the master question paper and the response sheet. 

Entrants can compare the key with their responses and calculate their approximate scores. They can raise their objections, if any, against the preliminary key via the “Answer Key Objection” link. After reviewing the grievances, if required, the final answer key is issued.

The AP DEECET exam is divided into the following stages:

AP DEECET results are typically declared within 2 to 3 weeks after the entrance test. To check the results or download the scorecard, aspirants must visit the official portal and click on the relevant link. It is the responsibility of the examinees to obtain their results online, as the admission cell will not dispatch the AP DEECET score cards or rank cards.

To secure a rank, students belonging to the OC/ BC categories have to obtain at least 50% marks in AP DEECET. For SC/ ST/ Physically Challenged category aspirants, the lowest qualifying mark to be considered for seat allocation is 45%.

AP DEECET counselling is generally conducted across 2 rounds. Those who qualified in the admission test can take part in the counselling. The main steps in the AP DEECET counselling include display of the seat matrix, registration, exercising web options, seat allocation, release of the provisional admission letter, college reporting, certificate verification at DIETs, and issuance of the final admission letter.
