BHU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2024 Counselling: The BHU B.Ed entrance exam 2024 counselling process will begin after the BHU B.Ed entrance exam results are declared. Although the entrance exam is now conducted through the CUET PG, the NTA will not be involved in the counselling process. The counselling will be organised by the Banaras Hindu University.

Candidates who meet the cutoff will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The BHU B.Ed entrance exam counselling will begin with the registration process. After the registration is completed, the university will issue the merit lists. The counselling process will likely be held through multiple rounds.

Those who take part in the counselling are advised to carry documents like Class 10 and 12 Marks Sheets, Bachelor's degree certificates, provisional certificates of UG, category certificates, reservation certificates and transfer certificates for the college reporting and admission process.

BHU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2024 Detailed Counselling Process

Here are the details of the BHU B.Ed entrance exam 2024 counselling process - 

  • To begin, the candidate must register on the Banaras Hindu University admission portal (http://bhuonline.in/) using the CUET Application Number (User Id) and the CUET Exam Roll No (as Password). 
  • Candidates should change their passwords for security reasons.
  • The candidate must log in to the Registration portal, enter the necessary information, and upload any relevant papers. Finally, the Preview page will open to confirm all of the candidate's information.
  • The candidate must upload the requested documents (in pdf / jpeg format).
  • Candidates are advised and permitted to change the details in their registration form if necessary before proceeding with payment. Once the final payment is received, no changes will be accepted.
  • A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 200 for General / OBC / EWS and Rs 100 for SC / ST / PwD is payable by the candidate. 
  • Payment must be made online (through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking) through the payment channel provided on the BHU Portal. Before submitting the registration form and payment, the candidate must ensure that all relevant papers are uploaded.

Preference Entry

Preference Entry Page will only be available if the qualifying conditions outlined in BHU UET Information Bulletin 2024-23 are met.

  • Fill up the preference entries using the BHU student counselling portal.
  • Following the conclusion of the Registration procedure in the University's portal, a link will be activated for filling out the Preference Entry Form on the Counselling Portal using the CUET Application Number and Password used during the Registration process.
  • Candidates who register for the courses will be able to fill out the Preference Entry the following day.
  • The Preference Entry icon will show on the dashboard after you visit the counselling site.
  • The candidate must choose the relevant Course and University/College location.
  • The courses of BHU Faculty and MMV are denoted by University preference and those of affiliated colleges are denoted by College location.
  • The applicants must fill in the subject preferences in the order of their preference.
  • Candidates are urged to fill out as many subject combinations from BHU and other colleges as possible to be considered for admission to the University.
  • If applicable, they must fill in any other information, such as language or ancillary subjects.
  • Check that the Preference Entry Page is correctly filled out. The candidate must redo the process using the Dashboard option if an error or alteration occurs.
  • Finally they must save and submit their work.

Attend the Counselling Session

  • Following the registration and preference entry, candidates must report to the counselling site on the day and time specified in the call letter and register their attendance with the Counselling Centre in charge. 
  • Candidates can speak with the teachers and professionals at the counselling centre about the various courses, pricing structure, hostel availability, etc. If candidates wish to amend their preference which they already filled out online, they may do so at this time if allowed.
  • After completing the preference entry form, candidates must print it, sign it, and present it along with all other relevant original documents. Finally, the computer will assign seats to applicants in their particular courses based on merit, considering their choices.
  • Candidates who have been admitted provisionally can pick up their Provisional Admission Letter from the Counselling Centre at 10:00 AM on the next day of counselling. Admission will be made in the order of merit based on the normalised score of the CUET 2024 administered by the NTA. The reservation policy will be followed per the provisions outlined in the UET - Information Bulletin 2024 available on the University's website.
  • The candidate's entire obligation is to ensure the information's correctness. If the provisional admission is discovered to be improper or incomplete at any stage, it will be withdrawn without notice.
  • The first round of allotment results for BHU and related colleges will be announced tentatively in the second week of October 2024, followed by successive rounds for Regular / Paid fee seats. There will also be a Mop-up / Spot Admission round to finish the process on vacant seats.
  • All applicants that compete in the regular rounds will be eligible for Paid seats and Spot Round Admission.
  • The applicants must frequently check the student portal and registered email for any updates or course allotments. If they receive an admission offer, the candidates must pay the charges within the time frame specified on the portal to stay in the admission process; otherwise, the claim for admission to the course will be forfeited.

BHU Admission Fee 

Aspirants can pay the admission fee for their chosen course on the same day they get the Provisional Admission Letter.

  • Candidates can pay the admission fee online (by credit / debit card through the payment gateway provided on the BHU UET webpage) or offline (through cash at the University fee counters or as mentioned).
  • Once the fee has been paid, candidates must present proof of payment of the admission fee to the Counselling Centre by 4 PM on the next day of counselling.
  • However, it should be noted that evidence is not necessary while paying the admission charge online, according to the official website.
