The eligibility requirements that candidates should keep in mind before applying for BHU B.Ed Entrance Exam are the Age Limit, Educational Qualification, Minimum Qualifying Marks, Reservation Policy and Nationality of the Candidate.
Candidates need to secure 50% aggregate marks either in their Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Humanities and have studied English, Hindi or Sanskrit at the graduation level or post-graduation as a main subject.
The candidates who want to study B.Ed in Humanities or Social Sciences through BHU B.Ed need to have at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/ or in Master's Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities. The aspirant must have studied at least one School subject at the graduation level or post-graduation as a main subject such as Political Science or Home Science.
Candidates applying for the BHU B.Ed Entrance Exam must be Indian citizens. Students who are constituent subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who landed in India before 1 January 1962 to make India their permanent home and reside here permanently are eligible to apply. Also, those people who have permanently moved to India from Pakistanis, Burmese, Kenyans, Ugandans, Sri Lanka, Tanzanians, Zambians, Malawians, Ethiopians and Vietnam can also apply for the Entrance Exam.
The applicants should have completed their graduation from a recognized university with the main subject. Students must have completed their 10th and 12th. Candidates who belong to the General category need to score at least 50% marks in their graduation and/ or postgraduation and those who belong to reserved categories like SC and ST need to secure a minimum of 45% marks in their graduation and/ or postgraduation.
