​B.A. L.L.B Eligibility Criteria of Calcutta University Entrance Exam 2020

The eligibility criteria that must be met by the candidates if they wish to take admission into BA. LLB Degree programme have been mentioned in the table given below:

 

Candidates should have cleared their 10+2 or its equivalent from the Board recognized by the Calcutta University in the year 2017-2019 (for General category), 2015-2019 (for SC/ST), and 2012-2019 (for PWD) only.

 

B.A. L.L.B Eligibility Criteria of Calcutta University Entrance Exam 2020 

Candidates should have scored at least 45% marks (for General category) in their 10+2 level or 40% marks (for SC/ST/PWD category) in the best four subjects excluding Environmental Studies.

 

Candidates passed from boards other than WBCHSE, ISC, CBSE and Rabindra Mukto Vidyalaya will be required to obtain “Equivalence Certificate” from the Registrar Office, University of Calcutta.

 

Foreign candidates will be required to provide all their degrees along with the marksheets of their previous institute to the University which will be verified after which they will be called for Interview.

M.A. Eligibility Criteria of Calcutta University Entrance Exam 2020

The eligibility criteria that candidates will have to meet in order to take admission into M.A  Degree programme have been mentioned in the table given below:

 
  • Candidates who have successfully completed their BA (Hons.) degree in the previous year can apply for the exam.

  • Calcutta University candidates who are currently in their last year of three years BA (Hons.) degree course can apply for admission.

 
  • Candidates with BA (Hons.) degree from another university or Institute can also apply.

M.A. Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates who have done their Major Course or the candidates who have graduated from the University other than the Calcutta University will also be eligible to apply. For such candidates, they will be required to upload the certificate from their University stating that the Major Course is equivalent to Honours degree.

 

  • Candidates who have passed the Major Course/Honours degree in Arts from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Netaji Subash Open University and Distance Education Programmes of any other Universities of West Bengal are also eligible to apply.

 
  • Candidates who have qualified Pre-MA Examination of Calcutta University are also eligible to apply for admission.

M.Sc. Eligibility Criteria of Calcutta University Entrance Exam 2020

In order to take admission into M.Sc Degree programme, candidates can check the eligibility criteria that have been mentioned in the table given below:

 
  • Candidates with B.Sc (Hons.) degree from other University or Institute can apply for admission.

 

  • Calcutta University candidates currently in their last year of three years B.Sc (Hons.) degree course and candidates who have successfully completed their B.Sc (Hons.) degree in the previous year can apply.

M.Sc. Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates currently pursuing the Major Course or the candidates who have graduated from the University other than the Calcutta University will also be eligible to apply. For such candidates, they will be required to upload the certificate from their University stating that the Major Course is equivalent to Honours degree.

 
  • Candidates who have passed the Major Course/Honours degree in Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Netaji Subhash Open University and Distance Education Programmes of any other Universities of West Bengal are eligible to apply.

M.Com Eligibility Criteria of Calcutta University Entrance Exam 2020

To be eligible to take admission into M.Com degree programme, candidates will have to follow the eligibility criteria mentioned in the table given below: 

 
  • Candidates with B.Com (Hons.) degree from other University or Institute can also apply for the examination

M.Com Eligibility Criteria 

  • Candidates who have passed the Major Course/Honours degree in Commerce from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Netaji Subash Open University and Distance Education Programmes of any other Universities of West Bengal are also eligible to apply.

 
  • Candidates who are currently pursuing the Major Course or the candidates who have graduated from the University other than the Calcutta University will also be eligible to apply. For such candidates, they will be required to upload the certificate from their University stating that the Major Course is equivalent to Honours degree.
