IBPS PO 2020 Application Form (Closed)

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has Closed the IBPS PO 2020 application process. The last date to submit the application form of IBPS PO 2020 was 11th Nov 2020. Earlier, the conducting authority had closed the applications on 26th Aug 2020, but the registrations were then opened again on 28th Oct, which then culminated on 11th Nov. For the application form filling, candidates should know the detailed procedure of how to apply for IBPS PO 2020 exam. If candidates miss any step of the application process or fill the form incorrectly then their application will get rejected from the authorities end. Candidates can apply for the IBPS PO 2020 examination through the online mode from the official website of IBPS. No other mode of application will be accepted for the IBPS PO 2020 exam. Before starting with the application process, candidates are advised to go through the IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria, check whether they are eligible or not and then switch towards the filling of the form.

In order to apply for IBPS PO 2020, candidates will be required to register themselves on the IBPS’s official website. With the help of the ID and Password created, candidates will be able to fill in the application form. Candidates must fill the correct information and attach the necessary documents with the IBPS PO 2020 application form. The details to be filled in usually consists of Personal Details including Parents Details, Candidate’s Details, Contact Details, Identity Proof, etc. and Educational Details including information about the degrees and certificates acquired by the candidate. Along with this candidates will also be asked to provide a scanned copy of their Photograph and Signature before they make the requisite payment. Experts advise cross-checking the information before making the final submission of the application form.

Pre-requisites for Applying for IBPS PO Exam Online

Before applying online, candidates should be ready with:

  • Scan photograph and signature as per the specifications and keep the necessary details/documents ready. 
  • Keep your card details ready in order to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges.
  • Keep a valid personal email ID, which should remain active until the completion of all selection rounds of the Common Recruitment Process. 
  • IBPS can send call letters/admit card for the examination through the registered email address. Under any circumstances, a candidate should not share their email address to/with any other person. If a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail address, then he/she should make his new e-mail address before applying online and maintain that email account.

Steps to Apply for IBPS PO

To fill the Application Form in a correct format, candidates will have to follow a few steps involved in the application process. These steps help the exam conducting authority to understand the applicant in a detailed manner and check their eligibility. Hence, to prove the eligibility and be able to appear for the examination candidates must fill in the form correctly and carefully. Let’s look at the steps that are to be followed by each applicant of the IBPS PO.

  • Online Registration

  • Form Filling

  • Uploading Photograph and Signature

  • Selecting the Organisation

  • Making Online Payment

Online Registration

  • Visit the official website of IBPS.

  • Click on ‘New Registration’ on the ‘Home’ page.

  • A new dialogue box will open with credentials to be filled in by the new member to get a Registration Number and a Password from the exam conducting authority.

  • After adding information in the blanks, click on ‘Submit’ button.

  • You are now a registered member for IBPS website. A Provisional Registration Number and a Password will be sent on the provided email address and phone number.

  • If you are a registered member, then log in with your Registration Number and Password to start the form filling process.

Form Filling Process

  • Once you have logged in with the Registration Number and Password correctly then a new page with the form will open

  • Enter your basic details like First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Mobile Number, Alternate Mobile Number and Email ID, in this form.

  • When you are done filling the blanks given, cross-check and click on ‘Save and Next’ tab given in the right-hand side corner at the end of the page.

Uploading Photograph and Signature

  • A new page will open with option to upload the images.

  • These scanned images of your photograph and signature are to be uploaded one by one in the space given.

  • The format and size of the image is a must to be followed, else your images will not be accepted by the system.

  • After successfully uploading the scanned copies, click on ‘Next’ tab.

  • Given below is the format and size that must be followed for the scanned images.

Important Pointers for Photograph and Signature

  • The photograph of the candidate must be clear and visible.

  • A blurred image or an extra bright image will not be accepted.

  • The background of the image should be clear and simple. Photos with scenery or other such background are liable to be rejected.

  • The Photograph must be a recent passport size colour image. Black and white image will not be accepted with the IBPS PO form.

  • Candidates must look straight in the camera with a relaxed face without posing or making faces.

  • The Signature of the candidates must also be clear and visible.

  • The Signature must be running handwriting and not in capital or block letters.

Selecting the Organisation

  • In this step, you will be required to select the preferred organisation for Pre Exam Training and final recruitment.

  • You can select your preferences from the list provided on the left side of the page.

  • After selecting all the desired preferences, click on the ‘Save and Next’.

  • You must cross check the details filled in as no changes will be done in this portion once it has been submitted from your end.

Making Online Payment

  • This is the last stage of the application process.

  • The registration fee can be paid using Internet banking /credit card/debit card/IMPS/Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets only.

  • General and OBC candidates need to pay INR 600 whereas, ST/SC/PwD candidates need to pay INR 100.

  • After completing the payment, a transaction acknowledgement page will open along with mail on the registered email address. Save this page and take a print out of it for future reference.

Important Notes

  • Candidates must most importantly know and remember that no changes can be done once the application form gets submitted.

  • Before clicking on the next tab, always remember to go through each detail entered.

  • Candidates must preview the page before clicking on the ‘Next’ button.

  • There is no provision for IBPS PO Application From Correction once the final submission is done.

  • Candidates must also remember to take the print out of the form and especially the confirmation page for future reference.

  • Remember not to forge with the personal and educational details as any candidates found guilty shall be liable for legal implications.

Pre-Requisites for Online Application

In order to apply for IBPS PO, the candidates must know the Online application pre-requisites, which are: 

  • Before applying for IBPS PO the candidates will have to keep certain things ready such as: 

  • Signature 

  • Photograph

  • Left thumb impression

  • Handwritten declaration declaration

  • Signature in Capital letters would not be accepted 

  • The left thumb impression must be prominent, not smug. 

  • The handwritten declaration must be written in English. If the declaration is written by anybody else or in any other language then it would stand cancelled. 

  • Keep all the documents which would be required for online application.

  • Have a valid Contact number and also an email id. 

  • Application Fees/ Intimation Charges Payable in online mode, shall be as follows - Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWBD candidates. - Rs. 600 /- for all others.

Steps to Apply Online for IBPS PO

Step 1: Candidates will have to visit the official site of IBPS PO, Click on “Click Here to Apply Online” 

Step 2: Then candidates will have to click on “New Registration”. The candidates can register themselves by entering the basic details. After which a provisional registration number and a password will be displayed on the screen, the candidates must note down that number and keep it for future use. The applicants will receive a mail and a message with the provisional application number. Candidates can reopen the saved data using a provisional registration number and password. 

Step 3: Candidates are required to upload their - Photograph - Signature - Left thumb impression - A handwritten declaration

Step 4: Candidates are advised to fill the application form very carefully cause they would not get any other chance to correct the information they fed in. before submitting the online application form, the candidates are requested to click on “Save and Next” facility to verify the details on the application form and modify if required. None change would be entertained after clicking on final “Submit Button”.

Mode of Payment

  • Candidates should carefully fill in the details in the On-Line Application at the appropriate places and click on the “FINAL SUBMIT” button at the end of the application. Before filling the final submit button the candidates are advised to verify every field that has been filled up. The name of the guardian of the applicant must be spelt correctly to avoid discrepancy in the certificate. 

  • The application form is processed through the payment gateway and the payment can be done using the Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, Cash Cards and mobile wallets.

  • After Final Submit, an additional page of the application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details. 

  • If the online payment is not done successfully then the applicants can log in themselves again and complete the payment. 

  • On completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be displayed and candidates must take out a print out of the online application form.
