The OUAT 2026 eligibility criteria will be released by the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology in March 2026, along with the official OUAT 2026 exam notification. The OUAT entrance exam 2026 is likely to be conducted in June 2026. Students will be able to find the admission prospectus for UG, PG, and PhD courses on the official website of OUAT @ouat.ac.in.
Students appearing for the OUAT 2026 entrance exam must go through the eligibility criteria beforehand to avoid any confusion at the last minute. The OUAT application form 2026 will also be available in March 2026, and students will be able to submit the OUAT form 2026 by the last week of April 2026.
OUAT B.Sc (Hons.) courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, and Community Science require a PCM or PCB at the +2 level or equivalent exam. BVSc, AH, and BFSc applicants must have a +2 in PCM Science or an equivalent course with a minimum mark of 50%, according to OUAT 2026 requirements.

No, students from outside Odisha cannot apply for OUAT 2026 admissions.
Students must have turned 17 years of age before December 31, 2026, to be eligible for OUAT 2026 admissions.
Students who need a reservation must show original certificates from an authorized source during counselling and admission. If students do not provide these documents, they will not be admitted to that category. Also, if students fail to provide any required original documents throughout the admission process, including the counselling process, they will be denied admission.

Students applying for the NRI/PIO Sponsored Quota must follow certain rules outlined in and provide the necessary documents during counselling and admission. These include:
Required Documents:
Signature Verification: The sponsor’s signature must match the signature on the passport and the sponsorship certificate.
Document Language: All documents must be in English and issued by the relevant embassy or consulate.
Online Visa: If you submit an online Visa, it must be signed by the embassy.
Sponsorship Limitations: An NRI/PIO can sponsor only one candidate each academic year. The sponsor must be a blood relative, and the relationship must be documented in the Sponsorship Form (Annexure-III), along with proof from a government agency or an affidavit.
The admission process for the OUAT Agro-Polytechnic 2026 exam will be conducted through a separate entrance exam. This entrance exam will consist of multiple-choice questions in English. The exam duration will be 3 hours. The OUAT Agro-Polytechnic exam will be worth a total of 200 marks.
In case of tie scores, preference is given based on Entrance Exam marks, Diploma marks, +2 Science marks, and 10th-grade marks, with older students being prioritized if ties persist.
10% of the intake capacity in various UG courses is reserved for these students.

Yes, a PCB student can take the OUAT exam. To enroll in the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Honors) program, students need at least 50% in their aggregate test in PCM or PCB subjects. For SC/ST and PwD students, the requirement is 40%.
OUAT's entrance exam is generally regarded as moderately difficult. All questions are based on the NCERT syllabus for classes 11 and 12, and cover physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology.
Yes!! PCM students are eligible to apply to OUAT 2025. The OUAT paper consists of four subjects, which are physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology, and you have to choose either PCB or PCM for any three. PCB is generally easier and helps you rank well. However, if you are very good at mathematics, you can choose PCM.
The minimum age to apply for OUAT 2026 is 17 (as of 31 December 2026) with minimum marks of 50% (40% for reserved categories). The applicants must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects.
OUAT 2025 Qualifying Marks for General Category candidates are 50%, and for SC/ST candidates, they are 45%. OUAT 2025 Qualifying Marks are the minimum marks candidates must achieve to qualify for the examination.
The minimum 12th percentage requirement for OUAT is 50%. To be eligible for the OUAT, students must have completed Class 12 Science with at least a 50% aggregate (40% aggregate for candidates who are SC/ST).
Odia candidates who permanently reside outside of Odisha must provide a certificate proving their Odisha origin from their employer / Tahasildar / District Magistrate in the district where they live. A certificate from the Tahasildar / District Magistrate of their native Odisha is also acceptable.

For SC/ST/PwD/PMSSS (for B.Sc (Hons) Ag at CA, BBSR) / Kashmiri Migrant / Kashmiri Pundit (Non-Migrant) / Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrant) applicants, the minimum qualifying exam marks is 40%.
Applicants must have finished their class XIIth studies from any recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% combining all the subjects.
