RIE CEE syllabus is issued by the NCERT and covers subjects needed for preparation. RIE CEE is held every year to select deserving students for the offered courses in the participating RIEs.
The RIE CEE syllabus was revised in 2024. Some new concepts were added to the Teaching Aptitude segment. Candidates are asked to refer to the latest syllabus so that they do not miss out on preparing for some topics.
The Language Proficiency section has 20 questions with a total of 40 marks. The Teaching Aptitude and the Reasoning Ability segments have 30 questions with a total of 60 marks each. Each correct answer will be awarded +2, while 0.5 will be deducted for every wrong response.
Verbal and non-verbal reasoning, missing numbers, number series, letter series, jumbling, analogy, odd one out, logical problems, establishing relationships, theme finding, arranging the statements in a sequential form, statement and conclusions, syllogism, etc, are some of the areas that are important for the Reasoning Ability section as per the RIE CEE syllabus.
The concepts crucial for the Teaching Aptitude segment as per the RIE CEE syllabus 2026 consist of attitude towards education, children, and the teaching profession, interest in teaching, leadership qualities & group management; emotional and social adjustment; intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, NEP 2020, and school education, NCF-SE-2023, digital initiatives and pedagogy, general awareness of contemporary issues about school education, etc.
The main topics for the Language Proficiency subject as per the RIE CEE 2026 syllabus include comprehension, rearranging sentences, selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding errors in parts of the sentences, finding suitable words for the incomplete sentences, finding equivalent meaning to the given phrases, sequencing, grammar including areas like prepositions, tenses, articles, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, etc.
The RIE CEE syllabus is the same for all levels. However, the level of the question paper will be separate for the offered courses. For Group A (B.Sc B.Ed /BA B.Ed /M.Sc.Ed), it will be of 10+2 level, while for Group B (B.Ed/ B.Ed-M.Ed) the questions will be of graduation standard, Group C (M.Ed) questions will follow the graduation standard with a focus on professional education.
