The TS PECET exam pattern is designed to assess a candidate’s physical fitness, skill proficiency, and overall readiness for admission into B.P.Ed and D.P.Ed courses offered in Telangana. Unlike conventional written exams, TS PECET primarily focuses on evaluating physical capabilities through structured tests that measure endurance, strength, agility, and sports-specific skills. The exam consists of two major components: the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Skill Test in Games. The PET includes events such as a 100-meter run, shot put, long jump or high jump, and an 800-meter or 400-meter run, depending on the candidate’s gender. Following this, the Skill Test evaluates mastery in a chosen sport like basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, or kabaddi. Each component carries specific marks, contributing to the final score. The pattern ensures that candidates are tested holistically, enabling institutions to select students with strong physical aptitude, discipline, and sporting potential, making it a crucial gateway for aspiring physical education professionals in Telangana.
