UPSC IFS 2018 Result

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declares the result of Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam. The result of UPSC IFS is usually declared on the official website of UPSC in a PDF format. Candidates can view their scores online by entering their Name or Roll number. On the basis of the result in Preliminary exam, candidates are selected to appear in IFS Mains, and candidates clearing IFS Mains are called for Personal Interview.

Note: Marks secured by the candidates in the Prelims are not counted while making the final merit list.

UPSC IFS Stages of Result Declaration

The UPSC IFS result is declared in three stages:

  • Prelims

  • Mains

  • Final result

UPSC IFS Prelims Result:

The first stage of UPSC IFS selection process is the Preliminary exam. On the basis of the result of Preliminary exam, candidates are considered to be eligible to appear in the second stage i.e. the Mains exam.

UPSC IFS Mains Result:

All the qualified candidates in Preliminary exam are selected for the Mains exam. Based on the result of UPSC IFS Mains, candidates are short-listed for further selection process.

UPSC IFS Final Result:

Candidates who qualify the Mains exam of IFS are called for Personal Interview/Personality Test. The final result is prepared for the candidates who qualify the Interview.

How to View UPSC IFS Result

Candidates can view their UPSC IFS Result by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of UPSC, i.e. www.upsc.gov.in

  • A link displaying IFS result will appear on the screen.

  • Click on the link.

  • A PDF file of IFS result is hosted on the new window.

  • If the candidate has qualified in the entrance exam, then, his/her roll number is displayed.

  • Download the IFS result file and keep it safe for future use.

UPSC IFS Cut-off

The cut-off of UPSC IFS is prescribed by the commission for all the stages of the entrance exam. The cut-off score is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates must score to qualify in the entrance exam. To be considered as qualified, candidates have to score equal or above the cut-off score to move to the next stage of the recruitment process.
