The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the UPSC IFS Result 2024 for prelims on July 1, 2024, on their official website at www.upsc.gov.in and www.upsconline.nic.in. The Indian Forest Service (IFS) exams were successfully concluded on June 16, 2024. The preliminary results were released in pdf format. The result PDFs contained the name and roll number of the candidates who have passed the Prelims exam and are eligible for the subsequent stages of the UPSC IFS selection process. Based on the screening test conducted through the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination the candidates who have qualified will proceed to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2024. Details on UPSC IFS Result 2024

The result or scorecard of an examination is one of the most important documents for every test taker. UPSC IFS Stages of Result Declaration

The UPSC IFS result is declared in three stages:

• Prelims

• Mains

• Final result

UPSC IFS Prelims Result:

The first stage of the UPSC IFS selection process is the Preliminary exam. Based on the result of the Preliminary exam, candidates are considered to be eligible to appear in the second stage i.e. the Mains exam. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination judges applicants based on their knowledge of current affairs, India as a Political and Economic entity, and their interpretative and analytical thought process. The IFS Prelims 2024 Result has been announced and the Mains Exam is about to be conducted. 

UPSC IFS Mains Result:

All the qualified candidates in the Preliminary exam are selected for the Mains exam. Based on the result of UPSC IFS Mains, candidates are short-listed for the further selection process. Candidates need to understand that the result of the Mains Exam is not the final result and does not declare the final selection of the candidates. The final selection will be based on the marks of the Mains exam combined with the marks of the Personal Interview.

UPSC IFS Final Result:

Candidates who qualify for the Mains exam of IFS are called for the Personal Interview/Personality Test round. The final result is prepared for the candidates who qualify for the Interview. The final result will be subject to the combined marks of the Written Test and Personal Interview as scored by the candidates.

What After UPSC IFS Result?

UPSC IFS Written Exam is conducted in 2 phases. Candidates who clear both the UPSC IFS Prelims and Mains exams will be eligible to appear for the UPSC Indian Forest Service Personality Test/ Interview round. The UPSC IFS Personality Test will be held soon, and the dates will be announced in due course. Qualified candidates must prepare for the UPSC IFS Interview.

Candidates who are not able to qualify for the IFS exam can re-appear for the exam next year if they haven’t already appeared for the maximum number of times it is allowed to attempt the paper.
