APNCET 2026 Eligibility

The Andhra Pradesh Nursing Combined Entrance Test (APNCET 2026) details are going to be published soon by the official exam authority, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. In general, candidates who have already completed their 10+2 standard from a recognised board are eligible to apply for the course through the admission test. A minimum of 45% of the total marks in science subjects is needed for all general category candidates. For reserved category candidates, such as SC, ST, and OBC, the minimum requirement is 40%. Also, every candidate must be at least 17 years old, though there is no upper age restriction to take admission.

APNCET 2026 Academic Criteria

Check the APNCET 2026 eligibility criteria in relevance of educational background.

• Candidates should have completed their 10+2 with Science subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as a compulsory subject from any state or national education board. 
• Candidates from any national or state-level open schools are also accepted to take the exam. The only mandatory factor is that they should have completed their studies with Biology and Physical Science. 
• For general category candidates, a minimum of 45% score is required in their 12th standard, while 40% is required for reserved category candidates, i.e., SC, ST, and OBC.

APNCET 2026 Age Criteria Required

There is a minimum age criterion for the APNCET 2026 exam. Interested candidates must be at least 17 years old to appear for the exam. There is no upper age limit for the exam.

Also, according to the university's official notification, all interested candidates have to be medically fit while applying for the exam.

APNCET 2026 Nationality Criteria

Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or persons of Indian origin (P.I.O) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. Also, they should fulfil the local or non-local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement) as mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admissions) Order. 

APNCET 2026 Reservation Policy

There are a few reservation policies for the APNCET 2026 eligibility. Here is the category-wise reservation policy.

• Backward class (BC): 29% of seats in the course
• Scheduled Caste (SC): 15% of seats in the course
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 06% of seats in the course

Candidates who will claim the reservation category admission benefits must produce their category certificate issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
