APNCET 2026 Overview

The Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences is going to conduct the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Common Entrance Test (APNCET) 2026 exam soon for admission to the B.Sc.(Nursing) 4-year degree course. This admission will be conducted for both the Competent Authority (Convener) Quota and the Management Quota. APNCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Check the detailed eligibility criteria required mandatorily for APNCET 2026:

  • Educational criteria
    • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English as a compulsory subject from any state or national education board. 
    • Candidates from any national or state-level open schools, Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course with Biology and Physical Science are also accepted to take the exam. 
  • Marks criteria

General category candidates 

A minimum of 45% aggregate of marks in Science Subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry & Biology  

SC, ST, and OBC candidates 

A minimum of 40% aggregate of marks in Science Subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry & Biology  

  • Age criteria 
    • Interested candidates must have completed 17 years. 
    • There is no upper age limit or restriction. 
  • Physical criteria 
    • Candidates should be medically fit to pursue the nursing course. 

APNCET 2026 Application Process

The application for the APNCET 2026 exam will be done through online mode only. Interested candidates are requested to visit the official website, i.e., drntr.uhsap.in. Candidates need to enter their personal and educational details during the online form fill-up. Please check that all details are entirely correct because once submitted, no information can be modified. It is recommended to keep all the documents ready to upload during the application. Once the fees are paid after filling in all the details, candidates need to submit the form. Then they can download the application acknowledgement form in PDFformat. It is advised to keep this PDF till the entire application and admission process are completed.

APNCET 2026 Admit Card

Once the application process is closed, the university authority will release the APNCET 2026 admit card. Once released, candidates need to visit the official website and enter their Registration ID and Date of Birth as Date/Month/Year (DD/MM/YYYY) to download the admit. Everyone should check their personal details, exam venue, reporting time, exam time and duration, photograph, signature, and important institutions. Candidates should take a printout of the admit card to carry to the exam venue. They also have to carry an ID card and a passport-size photo as uploaded during the form fill-up. The list of accepted ID cards covers voter card, aadhar card, driving licences, passport, etc.

Tips to Prepare for APNCET 2026

Follow the tips given below to start your APNCET 2026 preparation. These tips will be helpful to score well and secure a seat in the B.SC Nursing 4-year degree program under the affiliation of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. 

  1. Follow the NCERT books for all the subjects, like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Go through the study materials of 11th and 12th, which are generally used for the  12th standard exam. 
  2. Dedicate at least 3 to 4 hours per day to preparing questions, covering important topics, practising mock tests, etc. 
  3. Find questions for nursing aptitude from multiple books, online resources, previous years’ question papers, etc.  
  4. Get adequate sleep of at least 7 hours to stay healthy and fit. 

APNCET 2026 Result

The APNCET result will be officially published based on the answer key published by the university. Candidates are requested to keep checking the official website regularly after the exam is completed to get all kinds of updates. The minimum qualifying criteria for candidates are given below. 

  • General category (OC): 50th Percentile
  • SC/ST/BC & Persons with disability (SC/ST/BC-PwD): 40th Percentile
  • General category Persons with Disability (OC-PwD): 45th Percentile

APNCET 2026 Answer Key Challenge

Here is the detailed process for the answer key challenge for APNCET 2026. 

  • The university authority will release the provisional answer key with the question paper, and candidates can directly challenge it in case they have any doubts. 
  • For each answer challenged, candidates need to pay ₹200, which is non-refundable. The process for the answer key challenge should be completed within the stipulated time given by the authority. 
  • The authority will then check the answers. If the answer given by the candidate is correct, the entire answer key will be revised, and the final merit list will be released based on that. 
  • No challenge or objection will be considered after the challenge window is over. 

APNCET 2026 Tie-Braking Procedure

There will be APNCET 2026 tie-breaking in case two or more students get the same score. Here is how the tie-breaking procedure will take place. 

  • 1st criteria: marks obtained in the entrance test 
  • 2nd criteria: candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology in the test, followed by Chemistry, and finally by Physics. 
  • 3rd criteria: Older candidates based on the date of birth will be given preference over the younger candidates. 

APNCET 2026 Counselling Process

The APNCET 2026 counselling schedule will be released soon on the official website of the Dr. NTR University Of Health Sciences. During the counselling, successful candidates need to enter their preferred colleges. Once the seat allotment letter is released, they have to pay the registration fee to book their final seat. Also, after the seat allotment, candidates need to visit their allotted institute with the allotment letter and relevant documents. Once the document verification is done, admission to the B.Sc Nursing will be completed.

Can I challenge the APNCET 2026 provisional answer key?

Yes, candidates can submit objections against the provisional key by paying a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. The university will review valid objections before releasing the final merit list.

What is the age limit for appearing in APNCET 2026?

Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026. There is currently no specified upper age limit for candidates wishing to pursue the B.Sc. Nursing course.

Is there a minimum percentage required to apply for APNCET?

Yes, General category candidates need at least 45% aggregate marks in Science subjects (PCB). For SC, ST, and BC candidates, the minimum required aggregate is lowered to 40%.

What are the tentative dates for the APNCET 2026 exam and results?
