Given below are the APSET 2023 exam pattern highlights which will impart a deep understanding of the exam pattern to the candidates appearing for the APSET 2023 -
APSET 2023 will comprise of Paper I and Paper II and the candidates have to appear in both of the papers to be eligible for the subsequent selection process
APSET 2023 paper I will be common for all the aspirants whereas Paper II will be based on the subjects opted by the candidates
Paper I will be conducted bilingually (Telugu and English)
Paper-II will be conducted for subjects like Economics, Commerce, History, Education, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Work and Sociology which will be conducted bilingually except for the language subjects
Questions will be asked in Objective format, i.e MCQ
There will be negative marking for any incorrect attempt in the APSET 2023 exam

The candidates will be given four options to choose from to answer a question asked to them
The candidates will be given 1 hour and 2 hours respectively to complete both Papers I and Paper II of the APSET 2023 exam

APSET is conducted to determine the eligibility of those candidates who wish to join the positions of lecturers and associate professors in various government and private varsities in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
By knowing the APSET exam pattern, the candidates can prepare themselves in a way that will help them secure high marks in the state eligibility test.
The APSET exam comprises of two papers - Paper I (general) and Paper-II (subject chosen by the candidates).
The APSET question paper comprises of a total of 150 questions divided into two papers.
The APSET exam is conducted over a total duration of 180 minutes or 3 hours.
A total of 31 subject options are available for the candidates to choose from for the second paper of APSET like Hindi, English, Commerce, Archaeology, Life Sciences etc.
No, only the first paper of APSET exam will be conducted in bilingual mode (Telugu & English) and language subjects of the APSET Paper-II.
No, the candidates are not penalised for any wrong attempts in the APSET paper.
For each correct response in the APSET paper, the candidates are awarded +2 marks.
For each question, the candidates are given four similar options. The candidates are required to mark the one which is the correct or near correct option among the four options provided under each question.
