About APSET 2024

APSET 2024 registration has begun on February 14, 2024, and will continue until March 30, 2024, with a late fee. The APSET 2024 notification was released on the official website, on February 10, 2024 and the exam is set to be held on April 28, 2024. Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications before the specified last date. It is advisable to practice solving previous year papers for APSET until the final notification is released.

Andhra University is responsible for organizing the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) exam to determine candidates' eligibility for the post of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in degree colleges and universities across the state. Via APSET, the eligibility of the candidates is determined for the promotions of Assistant Professors/ Lecturers in colleges across the state. Every year, Andhra University conducts the APSET exam on behalf of APSCHE. Earlier, APSET was conducted once every two years. In 2018, a decision was taken to conduct APSET every year.

APSET is purely conducted as per the guidelines of UGC and NET (National Eligibility Test) and the test conducting authority for the same is NTA (National Testing Agency). The exam pattern of APSET was changed in 2018, and the new exam pattern will be continued for subsequent editions of the APSET exam. Dear candidate, it is not mandatory for you to submit a NOC signed by the District Educational Officer (DEO). If you fulfil all the required AP SET eligibility criteria, then you can appear in the eligibility test which is expected to be conducted on the 06th of December 2020.
