About APSET 2020 (Registration Started)

APSET 2020 notification has been released, and the entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 20, 2020. The online registration for the entrance exam has commenced on August 14, 2020. You click on the application form section on this page to register for the exam. 

Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) is responsible for organizing the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) exam for determining the eligibility of candidates for the post of Lecturer/ Assistant Professors in degree colleges and universities across the state. Via APSET 2020 the eligibility of the candidates will be determined for the promotions of Assistant Professors/ Lecturers in colleges across the state. Every year, Andhra University conducts the APSET exam on behalf of APSCHE. Earlier, APSET was conducted once in every two years. In 2018, a decision was taken to conduct APSET every year.

APSET is purely conducted as per the guidelines of UGC and NET (National Eligibility Test) and the test conducting authority for the same is NTA (National Testing Agency). The exam pattern of APSET was changed in 2018, and the new exam pattern will be continued for subsequent editions of the APSET exam. 10 Important Things About APSET 2020

APSET 2020 Release of Notifications:

The APSET 2020 exam notification will be released in July. Test-takers can check the required details on the official site of APSET. Only 6% of the candidates who will appear in both the paper would be declared qualified in APSET 2020. 

APSET 2020 Examination Date:

The APSET 2020 will be held in October. APSET 2020 Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be conducted on the same day.  

APSET 2020 Examination Time:

Paper 1 would be conducted from 9:30 am to 10:30 am 

Paper 2 would be conducted from 11:00 to 1:00 pm

APSET 2020 Online Form Filling:

The APSET 2020 application form will be available in August. The APSET 2020 application form can be filled online only. All personal details have to be filled up in the form and the documents have to be uploaded in the application form. 

APSET 2020 Date of Application

The APSET 2020 forms will be available in August. 

APSET 2020 Exam Centres:

There are 6 regional centres where the exam would be conducted. The exam centres are is Ananthpur, Nellore, Guntur, Vishakhapatnam, and Tirupati, Rajamahendravarm.

APSET 2020 Exam Pattern:(Paper 1)

There will be two paper on the same day. The APSET exam pattern has been explained in details on our site for the reference of the applicants. 

Paper 1 will be common for all candidates. There will be 50 questions of 100 marks. Questions will be available in both Hindi and English. The entire duration of the examination is 2 hours. 

APSET 2020 Exam Pattern:(Paper 2)

Paper 2 comprises of the subject the candidate chooses to appear for in paper 2. There will be 100 questions of 200 marks. Paper 2 will be available in English and Telegu. 

APSET 2020 Syllabus:

The APSET 2020 syllabus will be as prescribed by UGC-NET and UGC-CISR. Candidates can find the detailed syllabus from APSET 2020 Syllabus at College Dekho.

Dear candidate, it is not mandatory for you to submit a NOC signed by the District Educational Officer (DEO). If you fulfil all the required AP SET eligibility criteria, then you can appear in the eligibility test which is expected to be conducted on the 06th of December 2020.
