The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the notification for SO on June 30, 2025. Online registration was done from July 1 to 28, 2025. There was an application correction window available from July 31 to August 1, 2025. The preliminary exam was conducted on August 30, 2025. The call letter on the admit card was available on the official website to be downloaded in due time. The main exams will be conducted on November 9, 2025. The preliminary exam result is awaited and is expected to be released in October.

Steps to Apply for IBPS SO 2025

Given below are the steps to apply for the IBPS SO 2025 exam:

Step 1: Online Registration

• Go to the IBPS’ website (www.ibps.in)

• Click on the Home Page to open the link "CWE Specialist Officers”.

• Then, Click on the tab "APPLY ONLINE FOR CWE- Specialist Officers" to download the online application form.

• Candidates will have to click on the "New Registration" Tab to register their application.

• After providing basic information such as name and email address, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on candidates' screens.

• The candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password. 

• An email and SMS will also be sent indicating the provisional registration number and password.

Step 2: Upload the Documents

Candidates will be required to upload their photograph/image and signature as per the given specifications.

Step 3: Payment of Fees
Candidates must pay the required fees only through online mode:

• The payment can be done by using Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

• If online transactions have not been completed successfully, then the candidates are advised to re-enter with their provisional registration number and password and pay the application fees online.

• Upon successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.

• Candidates need to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form. 

• After submitting your payment information in the online application form, please wait for the intimation from the server,  to avoid double charges, do not press the back or refresh tab.

Step 4: Confirmation Page

• After completing the procedure of applying online including payment of fees, the candidate should take a printout of the system generated online application form, make sure the details filled in are accurate, and retain it along with the Registration Number and Password for further process.

• An email/ SMS with the Registration Number and Password generated on successful registration of the application will be sent to the candidate’s registered email address/ Mobile Number.

What After IBPS SO Application?

For each stage of the test, IBPS releases a call letter or admit card after the IBPS SO application procedure is successfully finished. Once the exam body issues them, candidates can find their individual admit cards on the official IBPS website.

On the day of the exam, they must have a hardcopy of their admit card. If candidates don't show their admit cards, they won't be allowed to take the exam.
