About IBPS SO 2021

The dates for IBPS SO Prelim and Mains exam have been released. The Prelim exam will take place on 18th and 26th Dec 2021 and the Mains exam on 30th Jan 2022.

IBPS (short for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) organises an entrance exam for the recruitment of qualified candidates to various posts of Specialist Officers in various Public Sector Banks. The examination of IBPS SO is conducted in three phases for all the eligible candidates – Preliminary exam, Mains, and Interview. All the candidates have to qualify for all three rounds of the IBPS SO selection process to be shortlisted for the posts. The parameters for the Selection process depends on a number of factors among which the most important is the marks secured by the candidates in the stages mentioned.

The examination will enable candidates to get their desired job but, in order to get the post candidates to need to know each and every detail of this examination. This will help them prepare well for it and score the marks that would lead them towards the Specialist Officers post.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency in India, which became an independent entity at the behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks in 1984 and started in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). With a mission to enhance human resource development through personal assessment, IBPS has been seen as an autonomous educational and research-oriented institute. Every year IBPS organises various competitive entrance exams for the aspirants of the banking sector. These exams include IBPS PO (Probationary Officer), IBPS SO (Specialist Officers), IBPS Clerk (Clerical Cadre) and IBPS RRB (Regional Rural Banks). Candidates clearing any of these examinations will become eligible for the defining post of that particular examination.
