Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) provide professional development opportunities. Students are trained in a variety of vocational courses at these institutes. Students can enrol in these courses after completing the 12th grade or after graduating. Passing the 10th grade is the minimal requirement for enrolling in the courses.
According to the Bihar School Board test (BSEB), ITI will be treated as taking the Intermediate test, i.e. earning a Class 12th degree. The BSEB has declared the intermediate status of students who have completed ITI.
