JENPAS UG Counselling 2025

The JENPAS UG Counselling 2025 will be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) in online mode after the release of the merit list. Eligibility Criteria for JENPAS UG Counselling 2025

To be eligible for JENPAS Counselling 2025, candidates must be at least 17 years old and pass higher secondary exam with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Failure to meet any of these criteria will render students ineligible for participation in JENPAS UG Counselling 2025.   1. Minimum Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December of the year in which they are applying for the counselling round of JENPAS UG 2025. Any candidate below this age threshold will not be considered eligible for counselling.

  2. Clearing the JENPAS UG Exam: To be called for the JENPAS 2025 counselling rounds, applicants must clear the JENPAS UG exam and obtain the cut-off marks set by the authority. Failing to achieve the specified cut-off marks will render the student ineligible for counselling.

  3. Academic Qualification: Applicants must have completed their higher secondary education in the science stream. Students from other streams will not be eligible for JENPAS UG Counselling 2025.

  4. Minimum Aggregate Marks: To be eligible for counselling, students must score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at the 10+2 level. Applicants failing to meet this minimum aggregate mark requirement will not be considered for counselling rounds.

Who is Eligible for JENPAS UG Round 2 Counselling 2025

For those students who are uncertain about their eligibility for JENAPS UG Round 2 seat allotment, the following criteria can be checked:

  • Candidates who did not receive any seat allotment in the first round are eligible to participate in Round 2.

  • Candidates who have successfully paid their seat acceptance fee, completed the document verification process, and opted for YES-upgradation in Round 1 are eligible to apply for Round 2.

  • Candidates who have paid their seat acceptance fee, and completed the document verification process, but had their allotment cancelled in Round 1 can also apply for Round 2.

NOTE: If candidates opt for a seat degradation for Round 2, their previous allotment will be canceled and allotted to other deserving candidates. The degradation is irreversible, which means that they cannot claim back their previous allotment after getting a seat upgrade.  

Who is Eligible for JENPAS UG Counselling Mop-Up Round?

The eligibility criteria for the mop up round of JENPAS Counselling 2025 are listed below.

  • The rules for participating in the mop-up round of JENPAS UG counselling/ seat allotment are very simple. 

  • Participating in this round is optional. 

  • Any candidate who has registered for the counselling process can participate in this round. 

  • Candidates who have been debarred for some reason or those who have withdrawn from the process are ineligible. 

  • Once candidates participate in the mop-up round after paying a fee of INR 200/- and are allotted a new seat, their previous allocation will automatically be canceled.

  •  Then the canceled allotment can never be claimed back.

  • However, if a candidate did not receive any allotment in this round then her/ his previous allotment remains the same.

JENPAS UG Seat Allotment Process and Result 2025

  • The seat allotment process for JENPAS UG comprises three rounds: Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-up Seat Allotment. The seats will be allotted based on the JENPAS 2025 UG Cutoff .

  • Once candidates have made their choices and locked them through the option entry window, the seat allotment result for that specific round of counselling is announced.

  • Provisional or final admissions are then carried out based on the JENPAS UG seat allotment result.

  • Candidates who wish to secure their seats and complete the admission process are required to pay an admission fee to the allotted institutes.

  • Upon the completion of one round of seat allotment or counselling, the subsequent round commences.

  • These steps are repeated until the conclusion of the final or mop-up round of seat allotment.

JENPAS UG 2025 Merit List and Merit Rank

  • The West Bengal JEE Board will prepare merit ranks for JENPAS UG 2025 on the basis of the scores of candidates in the entrance exam.

  • Candidates can view and download their rank cards on the official website of the conducting authority i.e., WBJEEB.

  • Candidates must know that the board will not publish any general score or rank list. 

  • For different category students, separate merit positions will be indicated—for instance, ST Rank, SC Rank, OBC Rank, etc. 

  • There will be a separate merit rank published under the name ‘GMR-N’.

  • The list will be published for only female candidates intending to be admitted into B.Sc. Nursing programme.

Candidates are advised to keep Scanned Copies of the following documents ready for uploading during the registration for JENPAS UG 2025 Counselling:

Tie-Breaking Methodology in JENPAS UG 2025 Merit Rank

If two or more candidates achieve the same merit rank, a methodology will be used to break the tie between/ among them. The JENPAS UG 2025 Tie-Breaking Policy can be checked below:

  • A candidate’s rank will be reduced if she/ he has scored less in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology together. 

  • If this doesn’t work, the candidate with more positive marks in Chemistry and Biology put together will be scored higher.

  • If not, then the candidate with more positive marks in Physics and Biology put together will be scored higher.

  • If the above step doesn’t work, the candidate with fewer marks in Biology and Chemistry will be ranked lower. 

  • If the above rule doesn’t work, the candidate with fewer marks in Physics and Biology will be ranked lower. 

  • If the tie still exists, it will be broken by the candidate’s date of birth (DOB).

  • The older candidate will be given preference over the younger candidate.
