MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

MAH B.Ed CET eligibility criteria 2024 is issued by the State CET Cell, which must be satisfied by the candidates to sit for the entrance test. It is crucial for all the candidates to carefully read the detailed eligibility criteria of MAH B.Ed CET before filling out the application form.

Only the candidates who fulfil the prescribed MAH B.Ed CET eligibility criteria by the conducting body will be allowed to appear for the examination. The eligibility requirement for MAH B.Ed CET is different for students based on the domicile of Maharashtra state and those from outside of the state. Given below are the complete criteria the candidate must fulfil to become eligible for MAH B.Ed CET.

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Eligibility for Maharashtra Candidates

The candidates who are from Maharashtra need to fulfil the given eligibility criteria for MAH B.Ed CET 2024

For Maharashtra Domicile Students

  • The candidate must have passed a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree from a recognised Institute / University recognised by the state government.
  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying degree with the main subjects as Science / Mathematics / Social Science/ Commerce.
  • The candidate must have acquired a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying degree examination (45% for backward category students who have a domicile of Maharashtra).
  • The candidates must have obtained a Bachelors or a Masters degree in Engineering / Management/ Computers / Information Technology / Agriculture/ Fine Arts / Law or any other stream.
  • The candidates having a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Engineering /  Management / Computers / Information Technology / Agriculture / Fine Arts / Law or any other stream must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 55% ( 50% for backward category students who have the domicile of Maharashtra) in the qualifying examination.
  • The candidate must have been granted their qualifying degree by any Open University incorporated by the act of Central or state legislature.
  • The candidates who are appearing for the final year examination of their qualifying degree can also apply for admission.
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for Other State Students

Find the eligibility requirements for MAH B.Ed CET 2024 for other state students -

For Other State Students

  • The candidate must have passed a degree in Bachelors or a Masters program from a recognised Institute/ University.

  • The candidate must have acquired a minimum aggregate of 55% for all categories in the qualifying degree examination.

  • There will be no reservation for other state candidates and the candidates included in a backward class category with a degree in postgraduate / graduate from a University out of Maharashtra will all be considered as General category candidates.

  • The candidates who are appearing for their final year examination of qualifying degree can also apply for the examination.

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Provision for Appeared / Appearing Candidates: 

  • Candidates who have appeared or appearing for the qualifying exam of their undergraduate or post-graduate degree are eligible to apply for MAH B.Ed CET 2024.
  • Such candidates will be asked for proof of qualifying their exam during the admission process.

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for NRI Students

Non-Resident Indians, Persons of Indian Origin, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, and Overseas Citizens of India are candidates belonging to the NRI category. The minimum marks they should score to be eligible are given below:

  • Candidates who have Bachelor's or master's degrees in the fields of Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Law, Computers, Medical, Fine Arts, Agriculture, Performing Arts, Social Sciences, etc. must have passed with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. 
  • Candidates who have Bachelor's or master's degrees in the fields of History, Geography, Psychology, Philosophy, Education, Political Science, English, Hindi, commerce subjects, etc. must have passed with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. 

Age Limit of the Candidates

The age for candidates applying for MAH B.Ed CET 2023 is likely to be calculated as of July 01, 2024. There's no upper age limit for the candidates.

Dear student, the MAH B.Ed application process for 2021 has not yet started. The State CET Cell of Maharashtra does not contain the tentative schedule for the MAH B.Ed 2021 exam as well. The online registration process was supposed to begin in June but was delayed due to the second surge of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dear student, the minimum mark required to clear the Maharashtra B.Ed CET exam is different for the General category candidates and SC/ST category candidates.
