MAH MHMCT exam pattern 2024 is determined by the State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra to offer admission to numerous Hotel Management and Catering Technology courses. The MAH MHMCT CET 2024 exam will be conducted on March 11, 2024, in the selected cities of Maharashtra. This postgraduate entrance exam is a computer-based test comprising only objective-type questions.

MAH MHMCT Marking Scheme 2024

The marking scheme of MAH MHMCT 2024 is explained in simple pointers below: 

  • For every correct answer, students will be awarded two marks.
  • There is no negative marking for this entrance exam. 
  • The question paper will consist of 50 questions, 10 from each of the five topics. 
  • Each topic carries 20 marks making the maximum exam marks 100.

Guidelines for MAH MHMCT 2024

Candidates must read these guidelines carefully for the MAH MHMCT 2024, which will be held in CBT mode. Find the guidelines below in pointers:

  • Selecting the response: The final question paper will have four options for each question. Out of which one will be the correct answer. Students have to answer the question by ‘mouse click’. Only answers that have been submitted by clicking on ‘save & next’ or ‘mark for review & next’ will be considered for final evaluation. 
  • Use of the system for CBT: Candidates must note that they are only allowed to use the mouse to select the answers and other options. They cannot click on the keyboard keys once the exam has started because it will lock the exam. 
  • The question palette and its significance: There will be a question palette on the right side of the screen which will show the status of the numbered questions. The colour palette visible on the right side of the screen will comprise these options:
    • One of the following conditions has not been met
    • The question has not been visited
    • It has not been answered
    • It has been answered
    • It has been answered and marked for review
    • It has been answered and marked for review five times
  • Changing answer to a question: To change the answer to a question, students need to select the question first and then click on the new answer option followed by the ‘save and next’ button. 
  • Time: Candidates will not be able to attempt any questions or check their answers once the exam is over. The clock is present on the server, and the time remaining can be checked on the countdown timer in the screen's top right corner. Moreover, once the clock runs out of time, the exam will pause automatically and students need not submit or end the exam by themselves.
