Step 1- Registration for NCHMCT JEE Counselling:
To participate in the NCHMCT JEE counselling 2026 procedure, qualified candidates will have to register themselves on the official website. Registration is the first step to proceed in the counselling process of NCHMCT JEE.
Step 2- Choice Filling and Choice Locking for NCHMCT JEE Counselling:
The next step of the counselling process of NCHMCT JEE involves choice filling of colleges. This is necessary for the seat allotment of the candidates.
Step 3- Seat Allotment Result for NCHMCT JEE Counselling:
Once choice filling and locking of the colleges is done, the authority will release the result of seat allotment. Candidates can view the seat allotment by logging into their accounts.
Step 4- NCHMCT JEE Counselling Fee Payment:
For seat allotment purposes, candidates will have to pay the NCHMCT JEE counselling 2026 fee in online mode. Candidates failing to make the payment in stipulated time will not be allotted seats.
Step 5- Reporting to Allotted College:
Once the seat allotment process is done, the candidate will have to deposit a participating fee of counselling which is Rs. 40,000 (Rs. 38,000 i.e. seat acceptance fee + Rs. 2,000 i.e. counselling fee) and it is inclusive of part of 1st Semester Fee through the HDFC payment gateway available on the website.

To be assigned seats in their desired institute, individuals who were accepted for NCHMCT JEE 2026 must assess every institution and apply to the utmost number of institutions.
Applicants who were given preliminary or temporary acceptance to universities would have their applications revoked if they do not provide certification of their passing the qualifying exam (10+2 or its equivalent) during the NCHMCT JEE 2026 counselling process, or at the very latest in the 4th week of September. After this tentative deadline, the candidate would no longer be regarded as qualified for acceptance or enrollment.
During the document verification process, candidates can provide certification or proof of their birth certificate, such as a Secondary Education Board or Pre-University Certificate.
To accommodate absences, cancellations, or withdrawals during the NCHMCT JEE counselling process 2026, aspirants may be offered up to 5% to 15% more seats than the finalised seat intake.

Here are some important pointers explaining the seat withdrawal and fee refund policy at NCHMCT JEE 2026:
A full refund (except the Counselling fee of INR 2,000) will be offered to the following aspirants:
Candidates who have deposited a Seat Acceptance and Counselling fee of INR 40,000 (INR 38,000+ INR 2,000) but withdrawn from the allotted seat, online by the cut-off date.
Candidates who have either not participated in 1st or/ and 2nd round of counselling or participated in aforementioned rounds but were not allotted any seat, or participated in those earlier rounds and were allotted a seat but it got cancelled automatically due to not depositing the seat acceptance fee, but have further participated in Final Round of Counselling as a fresh candidate by filling the option of the Institute in the Counselling portal, by depositing INR 40,000 and no seat allotted was in the Final Round.
Candidates who have been allotted seats during 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling and reported at Reporting Center for verification of documents but withdrawn from the allotted seat within the cut-off date and participated in the Final Round of Counselling, where the earlier deposited amount automatically got transferred to the Final Round but the candidates were not allotted any seats.

As a result of either reporting or failing to visit in-person to the reporting centre for document verification, applicants who were assigned seats during the first and second rounds of NCHMCT JEE counselling were unable to withdraw through the system by the deadline.
These include applicants who were assigned seats in the first and second rounds of NCHMCT JEE counselling and visited the reporting centre for document verification. However, such students withdrew from the assigned seat before the deadline and went on to participate in the final round of counselling for NCHMCT JEE, in which case the previously deposited funds were automatically carried over. These hopefuls were also assigned seats in the final round, but they failed to appear to the reporting centre for verification of documents.
Applicants who were given seats through the first, second, and final rounds of counselling visited the reporting centre for document verification but did not report to the designated institute, or they reported to the designated institute (without paying the remaining fee) but did not show up for lectures.
Students who were given seats through the first, second, and final rounds of NCHMCT JEE counselling went to the reporting centre to verify their documents, as well as to the institution to which they had been assigned. They submitted the remaining fee at the institute, but they failed to show up for the session.
No refund, except a Caution Money of INR 6,500 (if paid while reporting at the allotted institute) will be offered to the following candidates:
Candidates who have been allotted seats through the 1st, the 2nd or final rounds of Counselling, reported to the Reporting centre for document verification and further reported to the allotted Institute and deposited the remaining fee to the Institute, attended any class/ classes.
A certain percentage of seats will be reserved for the candidates belonging to the socially and economically backward categories in the NCHMCT JEE 2026 Participating Colleges. The number of seats reserved for students belonging to such categories will differ from Institute to Institute. The percentage of seats reserved for the students of such categories will also depend on the fact that the Institute is a Central Government-run institute, State Government-run Institute or Private Institute. A solitary seat is also reserved for a registered Kashmiri Migrant.
OBC candidates who fall under the Central List of Other Backward Classes will be eligible to apply for admission under the OBC category admission. The rest of the candidates have to apply under the General category admission.
Similarly, those candidates with less than 40% of a Specified Disability cannot apply for admission under the PwD category.

About 15% of seats are reserved for SC candidates during the NCHMCT JEE counselling process. Apart from SC, there is a reservation of 10% for General - EWS candidates, and 27% for OBC - NCL category candidates.
Full fee (except the counselling fee of INR 1000) will be refunded to the candidate in case of seat withdrawal.
