Once West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts PUMDET 2021, the result will be declared online. All the candidates who have appeared in the exam will be able to view their results on the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in. Also, the PUMDET 2021 result link will also be updated here on this page.

In order to view the result of PUMDET 2021, candidates will be required to submit their login credentials such as E-mail ID and Password in the login window. After entering the details, candidates will be able to view their results in the form of rank cards which will include the ranks and total score of the candidates. Candidates must note that after the result is declared, the merit list of PUMDET 2021 will be announced displaying the names of the candidates who have qualified the entrance examination.

How to Check Result of PUMDET 2021

Candidates can check the pointers given below to know how they can check their result/ rank cards of PUMDET 2021:

Step 1: Once the result of PUMDET 2021 is released, the link for the same will be updated on this page.

Step 2: After that, candidates will have to click on ‘PUMDET 2021 Rank Card’ tab, which will be made available on the website.

Step 3: On clicking the link, the candidate will be directed to a new page, where they will have to fill up the details in order to avail the rank card. Candidates will have to enter their Application number, Password and Date of Birth.

Step 4: The candidate will then have to click on the “Sign-in” button.

Step 5: After clicking on that, candidates will have to click on their respective PUMDET 2021 rank cards and the results will be available to the individual candidates which will contain all the relevant ranks and total score.

Step 6: Candidates will have to download and take a print-out of their PUMDET ranks cards that will be required during the counselling process.

Merit List of PUMDET 2021

Once the result of PUMDET 2021 is released, Presidency University will declare the merit list for all the candidates who have appeared in the entrance examination. After the PUMDET 2021 result has been issued, candidates will be able to check the merit list of Presidency University 2021 that will be based on the candidates’ score in the entrance examination. 

Candidates must note that the ranking of the Presidency University 2021 merit list will be done in descending order on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam. Afterwards, a separate reserved category ranks e.g. SC-Rank, ST-Rank, OBC- A-Rank, OBC-B-Rank, PwD-Rank are published for the respective category of the candidates. Only ‘GMR’ will be applicable for sequencing the counselling and seat allotment. Only for sequencing the deserving candidates within the respective category, category ranks will be prepared by the university.

Tie-Breaking Policy of PUMDET 2021

In cases wherein two or more candidates score the same rank/score in the entrance exam, then, the below-mentioned criteria would be applicable for tie-break in order to determine the rank of the candidates:

• The candidate who has obtained less negative score would be ranked higher.

• If the tie still exists, all such candidates will be awarded the same rank and will be considered for counselling and admission for bunching effect.

Post Result Declaration of PUMDET 2021

After the entrance examination is conducted and the result of PUMDET 2021 is released, candidates will have to wait for their merit list to be published. The merit list of PUMDET 2021 will have the names of all the candidates who have qualified their entrance examination. After that, all the candidates who have qualified the exam will be called to participate in the counselling process on the basis of their result.
