SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Analysis of 1st March 2020

SBI Clerk Prelims Examination conducted on 1st March 2020 included Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability and English Language as three sections. Here are some of the highlights from the examination that candidates can go through. 

  • The examination was considered easy by the examinees. 

  • Ideally, each section should have been completed in 20 minutes giving equal time to each section.

  • In Numerical Ability section, major questions were asked from Simplification and Arithmetic.

  • Reading Comprehension covered most part of the English Langauge section. 

  • The highest number of questions were asked from Puzzles and Seating Arrangement in the Reasoning Ability section. 

  • The high number of good attempts in the paper (which were 78 - 82) raised the bar of competition a little higher.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Analysis of 29th Feb 2020

Just like other exam days, SBI Clerk Prelims Examination conducted on 29th Feb took place in four different shifts. The overall difficulty level of the examination was easy and very much similar to the difficulty level of the exam conducted on 22nd Feb.   • All three sections of the exam: the English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability were considered easy by the examinees. 

  • No new changes were observed by the candidates in the English Language section. 

  • The majority of questions asked in the Reasoning Ability section were from seating arrangement and puzzles. 

  • Arithmetic and Simplification were the two main topics which were covered the most in the Numerical Ability section. 

  • The preliminary examination is qualifying in nature and the marks obtained by candidates in the examination will not be added in the final merit list.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Analysis of 22nd Feb 2020

The first-day SBI Clerk Prelims exam was conducted on 22nd February 2020. Candidates who are yet to appear for the SBI Clerk Prelims exam can go through the highlights of SBI Clerk Prelims examination of 22nd Feb 2020 in order to have an idea of the difficulty level and types of questions they can expect.

  • The overall difficulty level of questions in the exam was found to range from Easy to Moderate.

  • Since the score of the SBI Clerk Prelims exam is not considered in the calculation of the final merit, candidates just have to ensure that they score qualifying marks to go through to the Mains round of the exam.

  • The English Language section was reported to be quite easy. Most of the questions were from Reading Comprehension and the remaining questions were also easy to attempt.
  • Numerical Ability, the 3rd section of the exam, was reported to be lengthy in nature. While the overall difficulty level of the questions was easy, the section was time-consuming if one wanted to increase the accuracy level.

  • As per the feedback provided by candidates who appeared for the exam, the Reasoning Ability section was dominated by puzzle and arrangement questions. The section was found to be scoring in nature.

  • Since a high number of candidates appeared for the SBI Clerk Prelims Exam, and the overall difficulty level was Easy, the competition and cutoff of the exam can be expected to be quite high.

After qualifying the SBI Clerk  2020 exam, SBI will conduct the interview round/s. The candidates will be shortlisted for the vacant post on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam and interview rounds. An aggregate qualifying score will be calculated by the officials keeping in mind both the entrance exam scores and interview round scores.

SBI Clerk 2018 Exam Analysis

The SBI Clerk Mains examination was conducted on August 5, 2018, in two slots. The exam was conducted by State Bank of India (SBI) and students may now go through a detailed analysis of the same. The exam analysis will help students understand the difficulty level of the exam, the weightage given to the different topics in different sections and the topic-wise difficulty level.

Except for the English Language section, all other sections were available in both English and Hindi. Candidates had to answer a total of 190 questions within 160 minutes. For every incorrect answer, negative marking was applicable.
