The selection process for SBI Clerk is conducted by the State Bank of India at a national level. The authority will be organising the selection procedure for SBI Clerk 2022 in four phases namely – Preliminary, Mains, a test of official/ local language and the final selection. To enter each phase, it is mandatory for candidates to first qualify the previous phase/s. For this, candidates will be required to fulfil the standards set by the SBI. The first phase of the SBI Clerk 2022 selection procedure is preliminary examination. The paper pattern is objective type and has 100 multiple choice questions divided into 3 sections namely:
Candidates will have 60 minutes to complete the exam. Those who qualify for the Preliminary exam become eligible to appear in the Mains exam.
The second phase of the SBI Clerk 2022 selection procedure is the Mains examination, which has a total of 4 sections namely:
Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude
Candidates have 160 minutes to complete the exam and each section has sectional timings.
In addition to the Prelims and Mains exam, candidates have to produce a class 10 mark sheet/certificate in which they have studied the official (local) language.
Such candidates will not be subjected to a language test.
Those candidates who are unable to produce a certificate will have to qualify for a language test before the final examination.
Candidates not found to be proficient in official and/or local language would be disqualified.
SBI will prepare a final merit list of all the qualified candidates.
Marks secured by the candidates in the Preliminary exam will not be counted.
The merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s scores in the Mains exam.
Candidates who stand sufficiently high in merit will be offered a post.
