SBI PO 2019 Selection Process

The selection procedure of SBI PO 2019 will begin after result declaration. The selection of the candidates for the post of Probationary Officers in SBI branches across the country will be done on the basis of the result in:

  • Preliminary exam

  • Mains exam

  • Group Exercises and Interview

For selection process, SBI PO 2019 merit list will be prepared basis the overall performance of the candidates, and depending on the vacancies and merit list prepared, candidates will selected.

Stage-wise selection process of SBI PO 2019 is listed below:

SBI PO Preliminary Examination 2019

  • The first stage of the SBI PO selection process is based on the results of the SBI PO Preliminary Exam.

  • SBI PO Preliminary exam will be held in June 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2019. 

  • It is an online objective test of one hour duration.

  • It consists of 3 sections- English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude.

  • Candidates qualifying in SBI PO Preliminary exam will be selected for SBI PO Main exam.

SBI PO Main Examination 2019

  • Only those candidates who qualify SBI PO Preliminary exam will be selected for SBI PO Main exam.

  • SBI PO Main exam is expected to be conducted on July 20, 2019. 

  • SBI PO Main exam will have 4 sections comprising of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Computers, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness).

  • There will be a Descriptive test of 50 marks also.

  • Candidates qualifying in SBI PO Main exam 2019 will be selected for Group Discussion and Interview.

SBI PO Group Discussion and Interview

  • This is the final stage of the SBI PO selection procedure.

  • After conducting the Interview, a combined score of the Main exam and Interview will be released.

  • Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of performance in Mains and Interview round only.
