TS CPGET 2022 Eligibility Criteria (Updated/Latest Eligibility)

The eligibility criteria for TS CPGET will be released by Osmania University for all the students who wish to apply for TS CPGET 2022. The TS CPGET 2022 is generally scheduled in June or July. Before filling the form for TS CPGET 2022, candidates must know the TS CPGET 2022 eligibility criteria and check other details such as age limit, academic qualification, nationality, etc. to be filled up in the application form. If the candidates are found not qualifying any of the eligibility criteria then they would be disqualified from appearing to the entrance exam.

All the applicants applying for the  TS CPGET 2022 must know the TS CPGET detailed eligibility criteria in order to do well in the exam. The eligibility criteria of TS CPGET will help the candidates know what exactly are the criteria they must fulfill. This exam is conducted for the candidates who wish to take admission in postgraduate courses at Osmania University. Through the TS CPGET 2022, candidates would get a fair chance to pursue all postgraduate courses, diplomas, and integrated courses in universities of Telangana which include Osmania, Kakatiya, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi, Palamuru, Satavahana, and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Universities.

TS CPGET 2022 Course Wise Eligibility Criteria

Applicants applying for the TS CPGET 2022 must know the TS CPGET 2022 eligibility criteria before they apply for the exam.





Ancient History and Archeology


  • Candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in Arts with a minimum of 40% of marks are eligible for admission in M.A. course offered by Osmania University and affiliated colleges.










  • Candidates must have 40% in Bachelors in the respective subject.

  • The candidates must have obtained a minimum of 20 credits in the degree level in the concerned subject.



Islamic Study

  • The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science or Arts to be eligible for admission in these courses offered by OU and its affiliated colleges.

  • The candidates must have a minimum of 40% of marks in the degrees mentioned above so that they are eligible to register for admission.



Pol science

Public Administration

  • The candidates must have earned 30 credits in Bachelors in Economics to get admission in OU or the other colleges affiliated to OU.

Gender Studies


  • The candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science with a minimum of 40% of marks are eligible for admission in this course offered by OU and its affiliated colleges.

Journalism and Mass Communication

Masters and Bachelors in Library Science


Master of Human Resource Management

Maters of Tourism Management

  • Candidates aspiring to pursue these courses at OU or its affiliated colleges must be a graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 40% of marks.





  • Candidates who have passed B.Com degree with a minimum of 40% of marks are eligible for admission in M.Com course.

Nutrition and Dietetics

Food Science and Technology

  • The candidates must have a B.Sc degree with a minimum of 40% of marks.


  • Candidates who have passed B.A. in Geography or B.Sc degree with a minimum of 45% of marks are eligible for Geography admission at Master’s level.


  • Candidates who have passed B.A. with Geography or B.Sc./B.Tech./ B.E./ B.C.A. Graduate with 40% marks are eligible to appear for the entrance exam.

Post Graduate Diploma

PGD in Radiological Physics

  • Candidates who have passed M.Sc. in Physics/ Nuclear Physics or an equivalent course with at least 60% of marks.

P.G. Diploma in Applied Linguistics

  • P.G. Degree in Language/ Literature or M.Sc. in Speech and Hearing or any other related subject which offers any one of the branches

P.G. Diploma in Archival Science and Manuscriptology

  • A pass in M.A. (A.I.H.C.A.) / M.A. (History) / M.A. (Indian Culture) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks

P.G. Diploma in Child Psychology

  • Any Women candidate possessing a degree in any Faculty of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto.

Functional Hindi and Translation

  • M.A. in Hindi

  • M.A. in any Indian Language and having Hindi, either as optional or as Second Language, at Degree level.

Geographical Cartography

  • B.A., B.Sc., M.A., or M.Sc. degree of a recognized University in Geography, Geology, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics with 40% of marks in the aggregate or

  • Five-year Diploma in Architecture, Fine Arts or Commercial Arts with a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or

  • Bachelor of Architecture or

  • Graduate of any University with 40% of marks in the aggregate with at least one year experience in mapping in a Government / Quasi Government Institution.


  • A Pass in M.A. (A.I.H.C.A.) with 50% marks with Museology as one of the subjects of study or

  • A pass in M.A. (History) with Medieval History paper as a specialization with 50% marks.

Psychological Counselling

  • B.A. Psychology / B.Ed ./ Degree  

  • Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology / B.Sc. Nursing / B.S.W . / M.Sc. Home Science with Child Development / Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy / Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Law / P.G. Diploma in Marriage and Family Counselling / P. G. Diploma in Child Psychology / P. G. Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.

  • For applying to the course, a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination is required.


  • Qualified B.Sc with Botany, Zoology and Chemistry as major subjects.

Dear Student,

If you have a backlog in the fourth semester, which means you have not completed your graduation. Getting good marks in the 6th semester and a good score in CG PAT is really awesome but unless and until you clear that paper, you are not eligible.


What if a candidate appear for 3rd phase in OU and he/she gets an admission in it.. will the admission got in 2nd phase will be cancelled automatically?

Dear Student

Absolutely the seat allotment which you got in the second round will be automatically cancelled. It is better to go with the allocated seat in round three.
