The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) SO Result is announced for all the 3 phases – Preliminary, Mains and Interview. The IBPS SO exam is conducted to recruit around candidates for the posts of Specialist Officers (SO) in various public sector banks as well as other participating organisations.
Candidates are required to qualify each level of the IBPS SO recruitment by obtaining the minimum qualifying marks decided by IBPS. The preliminary exam is a screening test and only the marks secured in the Mains examination are considered to shortlist candidates for the interview round and for preparing the final merit list. To check the IBPS SO result for each level, candidates have to log in with their User ID /Registration number/roll number and password/D.O.B.
Candidates have to qualify the Preliminary exam to participate further in the Main exam. The scores for the Preliminary exam are available in the month of January, whereas for the Main exam, candidates can view their scores in the month of February.
Each candidate has to score the minimum marks in the online Main examination and also secure sufficiently high scores to be shortlisted for the interview round. Based on the number of available vacancies, the IBPS SO cut-off is decided and candidates are shortlisted for the interview stage. Before completing the interview process, the scores obtained in the online Main Examination are not shared with the candidates who are shortlisted for the interview.
1. Is there a separate IBPS Specialist Officer cut-off for both Preliminary and Main exam?
Yes, the Preliminary and the Mains of IBPS SO exam have separate cut-offs. Candidates have to clear the respective cut-offs in order to appear for the next stage of the recruitment process.
2. Is there a separate cut-off for different sections of the IBPS SO Preliminary?
Yes. Each section of the IBPS SO Preliminary exam has a separate cut-off.
3. Will the marks of Preliminary exam be added with the marks of Mains?
No, your score in the Preliminary will not be counted. Only the marks in the Main exam and Personal Interview will be considered for final merit listing.
4. What if I'm not satisfied with my marks in the scorecard?
As soon as the result is declared, the official website provides an opportunity to all the candidates to claim their Answer Keys.
