KVPY 2022 Eligibility

KVPY 2022 eligibility criteria are determined by IISc Bangalore for SA, SB, and SX streams. The aspirants must fulfill all the eligibility requirements of KVPY in order to be eligible to take part in the examination. KVPY 2022 eligibility criteria include the minimum percentage of marks, age limit, and nationality. Aspirants, those who satisfy the eligibility criteria of KVPY 2022, are eligible to apply for the respective streams. Students, who would like to pursue a career in science and at the same time want to benefit from the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana scholarship, must appear for KVYP Exam. In order to appear for KVPY 2022 examination, one must satisfy the eligibility criteria of KVYP 2022.

KVPY Eligibility Criteria 2022- Age Limit

IISc Bangalore, which determines the eligibility criteria of KVPY, has not defined the age limit for applying SA, SB, and SX streams. But candidates must be studying in Class XI, XII, or 1st Year of Under Graduation in order to become eligible for the KVP examination.

KVPY Eligibility Criteria 2022 - Minimum Marks

The aspirants of KVPY should be students of regular or full-time courses. Candidates who are studying in distance mode are not eligible. Check the detailed eligibility criteria before proceeding with the registration process. 

KVPY 2022 Minimum Marks (Stream-wise)

KVPY Eligibility Criteria 2022 for SA Stream

• Candidates who have enrolled in Class XI (Science Subjects) in the academic year 2022-23 can apply for the aptitude test.
• Students, who have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST PWD) marks in maths and science subjects in class 10 board exams, are eligible to apply for KVPY 2022.

KVPY SA Fellowship Criteria

• KVPY fellowship is awarded to the selected candidates provided if they join in an undergraduate programme in Basic Sciences  (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Mat./Int. M.Sc./Int.M.S.) in the academic year 2023-24 and they must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in class 12 exams.               
• During this interim period, students will be invited to National Science Camp. And the total expenses are met by KVPY.                                                   

KVPY Eligibility Criteria 2022 for SX Stream

• Students enrolled in Class XII with Science Subjects in the academic year 2022-23 can apply for the aptitude test, as they are eligible for SX Stream.
• Students who are in the 2nd year of the Cambridge International Examination Board are also eligible for the SX stream.
• Aspirants must have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST PWD) marks in maths and science subjects in class 10 board exams, in order to be eligible for KVPY SX Stream.

KVPY SX Fellowship Criteria

• KVPY fellowship is awarded to the selected candidates provided if they join in an undergraduate programme in Basic Sciences  (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Mat./Int. M.Sc./Int.M.S.) in the academic year 2023-24.
• They must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in Maths and Science subjects of class 12.        

KVPY Eligibility Criteria 2022 for SB Stream

• Candidates who are eligible to apply for first year of degree (under graduation) in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Mat./Int. M.Sc./Int.M.S.) are eligible for SB stream of KVPY.
• They must have secured a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD) in Maths and Science subjects of class 12 examination.        

KVPY SB Fellowship Criteria

• To receive fellowship, selected candidates must secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in the 1st year final examination of their undergraduate programme or course.
