Step-By-Step NEET MDS Seat Allotment 2026 Process

The step-by-step NEET MDS seat allotment 2026 process has been listed below for your reference:

Step 1: Counselling Registration

• All students must complete the NEET MDS 2026v counselling registration process.
• Visit the official website of NBE and click on the direct counselling link to register.
• Enter all the required personal and academic details, including the NEET MDS roll number and other credentials. 
• Submit the list of required documents and click on the next button.

Step 2: Fee Payment

• Students are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit as per the schedule.
• The NEET MDS 025 Counselling fee is INR 1,000 for the General category and INR 500 for the SC/ST/OBC/PwD category.

Step 3: Choice-Filling and Locking

• Once the registration process is complete, students will have to participate in the choice-filling process. In this stage, all students must enter their list of desired medical colleges for admission in order of preference. They can select multiple options for colleges and courses as per their preference. 
• It is mandatory for all students to lock their choices within the specified deadline to avoid any mishap

Step 4: Seat Allotment

• The seat allotment process will be conducted based on the choices submitted by the students. Seats will be allocated accordingly, based on the seat matrix, students’ performance in the entrance exam, and the admission cutoff.
• The NEET MDS 2026 Seat Allotment results will be published separately for each round of counseling on the official website.
• The result PDF will indicate the allotted college, course, and other relevant details.
• Student will have to pay a nominal admission fee to confirm their seats at the allotted institution.

Step 5: Document Verification

• All shortlisted students will have to participate in the final document verification process conducted by the respective institutions during the reporting period. 
• In case of any discrepancy between the documents submitted during the registration period and the ones produced during the document verification, the college authorities may cancel the admission of the student in question.

Step 6: Reporting to Allotted Colleges

• All students are required to report to their allotted institution during the specified time frame.
• Failing to report to the allotted colleges may result in forfeiture of the allotted seat.
