JIPMER PG 2018 eligibility criteria is prescribed by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. Applicants applying for JIPMER PG 2018 (July Session) must ensure that they satisfy the JIPMER PG 2018 eligibility criteria as laid by the exam conducting authority. Educational Qualifications

  • It is essential for the applicants to have MBBS or an equivalent degree that must be recognised by the MCI.

Nationality

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen.​

For Overseas Citizens of India (OCI)

  • OCI applicants, registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955, are eligible to appear for JIPMER PG entrance exam 2018. However, during counselling process, such applicants must submit a proof of OCI registration under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955.

For Foreign Nationals

  • Foreign nationals can also apply for JIPMER PG 2018.

  • Foreign nationals must take prior permission from the Medical Council of India (MCI) before applying for PG course in JIPMER. Once the request is approved, foreign nationals are required to route their applications via the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.

Minimum Qualification

  • Applicants who belong to General and Other Backward Class categories should have at least 55% aggregate marks in their MBBS degree.

  • Applicants who belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories should have at least 50% aggregate marks in their MBBS degree.

  • For OPH (Orthopedic Physically Handicapped) applicants, the minimum aggregate marks prescribed for the above categories applies depending upon applicant's category.

Experience

  • Applicants applying for July 2018 session must complete their one-year Internship or Training before June 30, 2018, to be eligible to apply for JIPMER PG 2018.

JIPMER PG 2018 Counselling

JIPMER PG 2018 counselling is conducted in offline mode by JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research), Pondicherry. Based on the merit and performance of the candidates in the entrance exam, short-listing of candidates is done to attend the counselling rounds. How to Apply For JIPMER PG 2018

JIPMER PG 2018 (July session) application process is going to commence from the second week of March 2018. Applicants willing to apply for Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) courses can fill the application form of JIPMER PG 2018 in online mode before the deadline, i.e. before the third week of April 2018.
