• Those who will be appearing for Odisha B.Ed need to have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their Bachelor’s degree and/ or in the Master’s degree in Science / Social Science / Humanities. While students belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD/ SEBC categories should have a 45% aggregate score.
• B.Tech (Bachelor in Engineering or Technology) students can apply for Odisha B.Ed, provided they obtained a minimum of 55% marks for the unreserved category or 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD/ SEBC categories. Those with a similar qualification with Specialisation in Science ( Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology) and Mathematics (as per AICTE Syllabus) with 55% marks in aggregate for the General Category or 50% marks for SEBC/ SC/ ST/ PwD categories are also allowed to register for the entrance test.
• Those in their final year graduation examination (Arts or Commerce, or Science stream) are qualified to apply for the Odisha B.Ed Entrance Exam 2026. Even though the candidature is based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained during the graduate degree at the time of admission, failing which the candidature will be rejected. 
• You need to pass Odia as MIL to the HSC level or any equivalent examination, or have passed Odia as a subject in a specific examination conducted by BSE, Odisha, of HSC standard or have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha in Odia medium with MIL other than Odia.
• Those who have passed the HSC examination of BSE, Odisha, without Odia as MIL should produce a certificate to the effect from the Headmaster of the concerned school that they have passed the HSC examination in Odia medium.
• Those with disabilities need to show a certificate of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. 5% of seats shall be reserved for applicants with benchmark disabilities of the following categories, who are fulfilling the physical condition and functional classification of the job role for which the course is pursued with a) Blindness and low vision, b) Deaf and hard of hearing, c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.
