The step-by-step method of checking the Odisha B.Ed 2026 entrance exam seat allotment list is as follows:
SAMS Odisha organises Odisha B.Ed counselling in 2 phases. Phase 1 is split into 4 selection rounds. If vacancies exist after Phase 1, then Phase 2/ waiting list round may be conducted. The total number of sanctioned seats, (other than PwD seats) in each category shall be split among Arts and Science stream aspirants on a 50:50 basis. Candidates can check the institute-wise vacancy details from the official website.
The Odisha bed 2026 seat allotment process is divided into the following steps -
Selection Process and Allocation of Institution for Getting Admission
Odisha B.Ed 2026 seat allotment is done depending on the result of Odisha B.Ed 2026. Odisha B.Ed entrance exam marks are considered based both on social category and stream-wise.
Aspirants who have not submitted their graduation marks will also be considered for the selection process. However, their position in the merit list will be below the ranks of the applicants who have completed the mark updation process within the deadline, if a tie-breaker situation arrives.
Candidates have to exercise their choice of colleges/ institutions during the choice locking/ re-choice locking process. They have to arrange the college choices in the order of their preference. Based on these choices, seat availability, and merit, selection will be decided for the said candidate in the relevant stream and social category.
Fee Payment
Aspirants who receive the provisional seat allotment offer are required to make the fee payment within the deadline. The admission fee payment has to be done in online mode. If candidates settle for the Slide-up and obtain a seat then they have to pay the difference amount.
If the charges are lesser than the difference in the admission fee then the authorities will refund that amount to the bank account of the applicants furnished in the CAF after the admission process ends.
Here is a breakup of the Odisha B.Ed 2026 admission fees for normal and self-financing seats -
Admission Fee for Normal Seats | |
|---|---|
1st year | Rs 5062 |
2nd year | Rs 4618 |
Admission Fee for Self-Financing Seats | |
All participating HEIs except Utkal University | Rs 45,000 per annum |
Utkal University, Bhubaneswar | Rs 48,000 per annum |
Download Intimation Letter
After applicants pay the admission fee, they will be communicated via SMS to download the intimation letter from the candidate portal. They have to produce the same during college reporting.
Apart from the intimation letter, aspirants have to provide the essential documents during the admission process. Candidates are notified via the below-mentioned modes -
During the admission process, 5 options will be available in the HEIs e-space beside each chosen candidate. The admission cell will pick up an option from among them - such as Admitted/ Absent/ Rejected/ Observations/ Error Correction.
Applicant Reporting
Candidates who made it to the selection list have to appear for college reporting as per the schedule. Those who secured allocation and completed the admission to the allotted B.Ed college/ institute in phase 1 are not eligible for phase 2 (waiting list round if held).
Aspirants must note that applicants who have been chosen in any counselling rounds of phase 1 and have not taken admission can be a part of the phase 2/ waiting list round.
Slide Up
Once the aspirants take admission in the assigned HEI as per the result of the 1st phase selection, they will find the “Slide-Up Option Form” activated in their portal. They have to submit OTP-based content to be a part of the slide-up process for the next round of selection. Candidates who settle for the Slide-up option will be transferred to the B.Ed college/ institution as per the choices they added during choice locking. However, it depends if the relevant vacancy is there in that particular institution, as per the stream and social category.
For aspirants who went for the Slide-up option and obtained a seat in the next selection round for that slide-up college, then it is compulsory for them to take admission in that B.Ed institution. If they do not do so they will be out of the complete selection process. Applicants who have been allocated slide-up institutions, their admissions to the previous institute will be automatically withdrawn. For cases, where the candidate has given consent for the next round via the Slide-up facility and has not been selected, their consent will be carried over for the upcoming rounds.
In tie-breaker situations, applicants who have a higher percentage of marks in graduation shall be considered. If the graduation mark/ percentage is the same, then the elder candidate will secure a higher rank in the selection list.
The selected candidates have to submit the below documents during the college reporting after the Odisha B.Ed 2026 entrance exam seat allotment process -
