Here is the checklist of documents required during the Odisha B.Ed counselling process and the time of admission to the assigned colleges. Please remember the Xerox Copies of all certificates/ mark sheets must be signed by the aspirants. Additionally, the Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of the Principal of that relevant college.

Odisha B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023 Counselling Guidelines 

We have curated some of the major guidelines applicable to the Odisha B.Ed Entrance Exam counselling process below -

  • Candidates must take utmost care while filling out the counselling registration form.
  • The payment process has to be finished online.
  • The students will be allocated B.Ed institutions and colleges based on the score achieved on the entrance test, taking into account both stream-wise factors and the social category.
  • Even candidates who have not updated their marks of graduation will be counted in the selection process. However, in case of a tie, they will be placed below in the selection list compared to applicants who have provided their graduation marks.
  • The students are urged to specify their preferred institutions in order of their priority. They will be ranked per their merit, seat availability in their individual streams and category, and their locking of college choices.
  • The chosen aspirants will be informed through SMS to obtain their Intimation letter needed for admission, and then they have to report to that specific college to complete the formalities for admission.
  • Depending on whether the admission went through or not, the college will mark the student as admitted / absent / rejected / observation in their college login.
  • Candidates who opted for Slide-Up will be shifted to the college per their web choice submitted while choice locking. However, it is crucial that there is a vacancy in that particular institution, in the stream and the reservation category.
  • The Slide-Up Option Form will be enabled in the student’s login for candidates who take enrolment in the allocated college during the first admission selection. Via the form, they will be able to submit their OTP-based approval for participation in the next selection round’s Slide-Up process.
  • The total number of seats following the category shall be portioned out to Arts and Science discipline aspirants on an equal basis (50:50).
  • De-reservation of seats will not be done until the selection process’ final round.
  • If the authorities do not find any eligible students from the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category at the final selection round, then those seats reserved for ESM will be modified to their corresponding social categories.
  • Candidates will find institution-wise details of vacancies on the website of the conducting body.

Guru Nanak College of Education for Women is an Educational College. The primary programme provided by the college is a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme with a seat intake of fifty seats. It is a regular programme. The institution offers seats for a variety of teaching subject combinations, including physical sciences, mathematics, English, social studies, economics, and commerce. The annual fee structure of the course is Rs 45,000 including tuition fees, library fees, laboratory fees, admission fees and more.
