How to Apply for UGC NET 2018

The aspirants of UGC NET 2018, must know the process to apply for this national level examination. It is important to clearly understand How to Apply for UGC NET 2018. The application process of UGC NET 2018 for December examination will begin on 1st September. Aspirants will also be allotted with a time period to do complete the application correction process for UGC NET, which is scheduled to be conducted from 9th to 23rd December. The application process for the same will continue until 30th September 2018. 

In order to take UGC NET, aspirants have to apply for the exam online on the CBSE official website. Before applying online, the candidates should have the scanned images of the following:

  • Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).

  • Signature in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 30 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).

  • After filling all the details for applying online for NET, the candidates have to select the option of payment for examination

  • Service Charges & Service Taxes (as applicable) will be charged extra by the Bank.

  • The fee can be remitted in the following ways:

Through E-challan by depositing prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank, ICICI, HDFC and Canara Bank, or

By Debit/Credit Card and follow the process as mentioned below:

  • The candidate should mention all the details while filling the online application form. He/she is also required to choose a Password and Security Question and enter his/her Answer.

  • The name of the candidate or his/her Father/husband etc. should be spelled correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/Mark sheets. Any change/alteration found may lead to the candidate getting disqualified.

  • After successful submission of the data, the application number is generated and it is used to complete the remaining steps of the application form and also required for all future correspondence.

  • For subsequent logins, the candidate has to login directly to his/her respective system generated Application Number and chosen Password.

  • The candidates are required to bring a photo identity card along with their printout of online admission card on the day of examination.

  • Please note that fee submitted through any other mode like Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO etc, will be summarily rejected.

  • In order to avoid last minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough.

  • CBSE is not to be held responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature in submission of online Application during the last days.

  • The candidate should take print of the Confirmation Page and keep it for future reference.

  • The confirmation page should not be sent to CBSE.
