UPSC NDA & NA Result 2026

The Union Public Service Commission will release the UPSC NDA 1 result in the last week of April 2026. The result will be available in a PDF format on the official website at upsc.gov.in. The name-wise result will be released in the next few months in May 2026. NDA 1 notification 2026 was released on December 10, 2025. The application form is available from December 10 to 30, 2025. The NDA 1 exam will be held on April 12, 2026. The UPSC NDA 2 exam will be conducted in September 2026, for which the result will be available in the last week of September. How to Check UPSC NDA Exam Result 2026?

UPSC has adopted a candidate-friendly approach to access the NDA result of 2026. The simple steps to check the NDA result 2026 are as mentioned below:

• Visit the official website of UPSC (upsc.gov.in)
• Look for the result link on the 'What's New' section on the right side of home page
• Click on the link 'Final Result: National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026'
• A new page will open, and click on the PDF link over there.
• On a new page, a PDF file opens. The NDF result 2026 comprises the roll numbers and names of the shortlisted candidates.
• Now, search your Roll Number and Name by using CTRL+F. 
• After checking the result, take a printout of the same for further use.

UPSC NDA Result 2026: Name-wise

The name-wise result of the UPSC NDA written exam will be announced 15 days after the release of the roll number-wise result. UPSC will release the result of the NDA II 2026 final exam most likely in the last week of September 2026. This PDF comprises the names and roll numbers of the selected candidates. The Mark sheet of the selected candidates in UPSC NDA result II will be released 15 days after the result declaration of the names of shortlisted candidates in the SSB interview.

Publication of NDA Written Examination Result

• UPSC prepares the list of candidates who have obtained the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as prescribed by the Commission.

• Candidates can check here for NDA result 2026. Roll number of candidates will be mentioned in the result sheets who have qualified for SSB Interview.

• Qualified candidates can download the Interview call letter and attend the interview round.

Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview

• A candidate will have to undergo a five-day interview procedure at the allotted SSB centres.

• The schedule for the SSB interview will be intimated to the candidates through the call letter.

• Candidates will have to appear for Intelligence and Personality Test where candidates for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy will be assessed on Officers Potentiality.

• Those for the Air Force will have to undergo the test in Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) and Pilot Aptitude Test (which forms the whole PAB Test) and for Officers Potentiality.

Medical Screening

• Once the interview is complete, the candidates will be sent for the complete medical examination at the command hospitals.

Final Merit List

• The marks obtained in the three stages  – Written examination, SSB Interview, and Medical Screening – will be considered while preparing the final NDA Result 2026.

UPSC NDA 2026 Score Card

UPSC will release the NDA 2026 scorecard after the conclusion of the NDA selection process. The UPSC NDA scorecard comprises the candidate's name and sectional and their overall scores. How are UPSC NDA Scores Calculated?

Based on the NDA marking scheme, UPSC calculates the scores of candidates. UPSC calculates NDA GAT and math paper in the same manner, however the marking scheme of both NDA papers is different. Below we have provided the formula of calculation of NDA GAT and Mathematics scores:

Formula of NDA GAT Score- Number of correct answers x 4 – Number of incorrect answers x 0.33

Formula of NDA Mathematics Score - Number of correct answers x 2.5 – Number of incorrect answers x 0.33

UPSC NDA Result 2026: Qualifying Marks

The candidates must attain a minimum of 25% marks in each subject to clear the NDA 2026 exam. The mark allotted for the NDA GAT paper is 600 marks. Here, candidates have to secure a minimum of 150 marks to qualify. The total mark for the NDA Mathematics paper is 300, wherein candidates must obtain 75 marks to qualify. However, obtaining only the qualifying marks will not allow them to qualify in the final NDA merit list 2026. Therefore, along with achieving the qualifying marks, they must obtain the minimum NDA result 2026 cutoff to get admission.

Stages of UPSC NDA Result 2026

The Commission will release the NDA result 2026 two stages; first the NDA 2026 result of the written exam will be declared and then after the completion of the SSB interview, the final NDA result will be declared. The stages are explained below:

• NDA result 2026 for Written Exam - As per the NDA exam pattern 2026, there are two papers in the NDA written exam; GAT and mathematics. Total marks allotted for both the papers are 900 marks. The Commission will shortlist those candidates who will be able to secure the qualifying NDA result 2026 cutoff marks for the written exam. They will be called for the SSB interview.
• Final NDA result 2026 - The final NDA result will be declared following the completion of the SSB interview. Based on their performance in the written exam and SSB Interview, the aspirants will be selected for the admission to Indian Army/ Navy/ Air force services.

What after the Declaration of NDA Result 2026?

After the declaration of the NDA result 2026 for the written exam, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB Interview (Intelligence and Personality Test). There are two stages in the SSB Interview - the Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test.

• Officers Intelligence Rating (OR) Test and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP & DT)
• Group Testing Officers Tasks, Psychology tests, and the Conference

The candidates who will be qualified in both stages will have to submit original certificates and one photo-identity proof.

NDA Physical Fitness Screening

The qualified candidates after the conclusion of the SSB Interview will be called for medical screening wherein their physical fitness will be examined by the Medical Officer.

UPSC NDA Merit List 2026

The NDA 2026 merit list will be prepared depending on the total marks that will be obtained by the candidates in the NDA exam and SSB interview. The candidates will be able to get the final admission to NDA and NA entry to the Indian Army/ Navy/ Air force based on their eligibility, medical fitness, and NDA result merit list 2026.

It is to be noted that if any candidate is allocated with one service or course then he/she will be excluded from other services or courses under the NDA and NA.

UPSC NDA Result 2026: Tie Breaking Policy 

This policy is applied when two or more candidates secure the same score in the NDA result 2026. In such cases, the Commission implements this tie breaking policy wherein the problem is resolved based on age. Here the older candidate is given preference over the younger one.
