How to Apply for AFCAT 2026?
Candidates willing to appear for AFCAT 2026 exam need to fill out the AFCAT application form 2026. Since the AFCAT exam is in online mode, only online applications are accepted. Below are the steps to apply for the AFCAT exam 2026:
Step 1: Registration for AFCAT Application Form 2026
Here are the steps to register for the AFCAT exam 2026:
- Go to the IAF official website
- Next, click on the ‘candidate’s login’ link
- Select the option ‘AFCAT 2026’
- Click on the “Register now” option
- Now you can register as a new candidate by entering personal information and a valid email address.
- Once this information is added to the portal, the candidate will receive an email with the login credentials.
Step 2: Fill Details in AFCAT 2026 Application Form
After the registration process for the AFCAT application form 2026 is completed, students will be able to move on to the next step. Step 2 is filling out the AFCAT application exam. Given below are the steps to complete the process of AFCAT application form 2026:
- Login with the help of login credentials that contain your email ID and password. Then you need to select the type of entry- AFCAT, NCC special for the IAF Flying Branch.
- Next, there are some instructions which candidates need to read through carefully and then double-check all the information provided.
- Click on the proceed button.
Then when the new page appears, you need to click on the application form filling option where the below-mentioned details will be asked for candidates to fill in:
Personal Details and Information
Name of the candidate, name of parents, email address, secondary email address, nationality, mobile number, and visible identification mark. the CPSS or PABT batch number, date of passing CPSS or PABT, chest number of CPSS or PABT, CPSS or PABT attended at which Air Force Selection Board, rank in IAF, service number, currently posted unit, and select command, gender, marital status, and the date of birth.

- Once these personal details have been added, candidates can click on the button ‘continue to part 3’.
- At the next stage, details on the graduation years need to be entered as per the subjects.
- Next, select the choice of course and examination cities (up to 5 cities can be selected from the given list of cities).
Step 3: Payment of AFCAT Application Fees
Candidates upon the successful completion of the first two steps will be able to move to the third step which is the payment of application fees. Check out the steps involved in paying the applicable fees for the AFCAT exam 2026:
- Upload a good quality scanned image of the candidates in passport size along with the signature, and right thumb impression as per the image specifications.
- After this step, candidates will be able to pay the AFCAT application fees via online/offline mode.
- INR 550 needs to be paid as an application fee through a debit or credit card or net banking. Those who prefer offline payment can do so by downloading the challan and making the payment through Axis or HDFC Bank.
- At this stage, after the payment of the AFCAT application fee, candidates will be able to ‘preview’ their entire application form and submit the same.
