AP EDCET 2024 Counselling

AP EDCET counselling 2024 will be conducted in 2 phases. A 3rd round of spot counselling may be organised depending on the vacant seats available. These vacancies may arise due to leftover or dropouts opted by the aspirants.

Those who qualify the entrance test will be eligible for the counselling process. The major steps of the AP EDCET 2024 counselling include online registration, verification of certificates, web options entry, editing of web options, seat allotment, and college reporting.

Step by Step AP EDCET 2024 Counselling Process

Check out the order in which the counselling process for AP EDCET 2024 will be carried out:

Step 1: AP EDCET 2024 Counselling Notification Release

The AP EDCET 2024 qualified candidates are notified regarding the AP EDCET 2024 counselling process through a notification that will be released by the APSCHE on its official website. 

Step 2: Online Registration and Payment of Processing Fees Before Certificate Verification

Before Certificate Verification, candidates must pay the processing charges and complete the registration for that respective phase of AP EDCET counselling. Once done successfully, the applicants can upload the certificates for verification in the next stage. 

Candidates as per their reservation category can pay the fees online via credit card / debit card / net banking through the Pay Processing Fee” direct link provided in the official website.

All applicants ranked from 1 to the last rank can pay the processing charges as per the counselling schedule. 

To make the payment or know their payment status, candidates have to enter their hall ticket number and their date of birth. After making the payment, candidates must take a printout of the same and keep it with them for future reference.

Candidates must note that before uploading their certificates, the payment must be successfully done.

Step 3: Verification of Documents

The admissions committee will verify the certificates and documents of the candidates online. The candidates must note that only original scanned certificates / documents granted by the respective institutions / universities will be accepted. Certificates retrieved from websites will not be given consideration. Candidates must note that the original certificates must not be deposited in the institute at the time of admission.

Here is the list of scanned original certificates to be submitted by the applicants during registration - 

  • AP EDCET 2024 Hall Ticket 
  • AP EDCET 2024 Rank Card
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Degree Marks Memos or Consolidated Marks Memos
  • Degree Provisional Certificate
  • Intermediate Marks Memo or Diploma Marks Memo
  • SSC or similar Marks Memo Study Certificates from Class IX to Degree
  • Residence Certificate for candidates who had no institutionalised education applicable to Private candidates of AP State.
  • Residence certificate of the parents (or any among the parents) in AP for 10 years other than the period of employment outside the State from an approved authority if applicable.
  • Latest Income Certificate or Ration Card issued by an authorised authority having the name of the candidate
  • Caste Certificate by competent authority for of SC / ST / BC category applicants
  • Latest Economically Weaker Section or EWS certificate if applicable
  • Local status certificate where applicable.

Step 4: Choice Filling / Web Options

With the help of the given Login ID and password, the candidates will be able to choose the college during the AP EDCET choice filling process into which they desire to get admission from the given list of options. In addition to choosing colleges, the candidates can also choose from the list of courses and submit their choices before the last date.

Step 5: Editing and Freezing of Options

The candidates will also be allowed to edit and modify the options which they exercised during the previous step. There is no limit to the number of times the candidates can modify their choices of colleges and courses. 

Step 6: Final Seat Allotment

The result of the final AP EDCET seat allotment will be notified to those candidates who have been allocated a seat in one of the AP EDCET 2024 participating colleges. APSCHE will release the information on its official website as well as a letter of allotment will be issued to the candidates. Once a candidate has received their allotment letter, they will have to visit the allocated institute or college well before the last date for confirmation of seat.

Important Instructions Regarding AP EDCET 2024 Counselling Process

Mentioned below are the important instructions regarding the AP EDCET 2024 counselling process which all candidates must abide by. 

  • The candidates must only use computers instead of tablets or mobiles for exercising the web options process.
  • The candidates must ensure that they are using the updated version of the search engine for exercising the web options process.
  • The candidates must double-check the college codes before entering their options.
  • The candidates must refrain from choosing those colleges in which they are least interested.
  • The seat allotment process will be carried out based on the pattern of preference of options exercised by the candidates. Thus, the candidates must be very careful during entering options.
  • The seat allotment process will also be impacted by the rank secured by the candidates.
  • Seats allocated under the AP EDCET 2024 web counselling process will be considered final and no modification will be done to the same under any circumstances.
  • In case of any mistakes from the side of the candidates, the authorities will not bear any responsibility for the same.
  • The candidates must keep their mobile phones close to them during the options of exercising process.

AP EDCET 2024 Counselling: Documents to be Produced by Special Category Candidates

Here is the list of documents required to be produced by special category candidates (Sports / NCC / CAP / PwD) during AP EDCET 2024 counselling:

  • Physically Handicapped (PH) certificate bearing the stamp of an official in the District Medical Board and only those candidates will be eligible who are at least 40% disabled
  • CAP certificate bearing the stamp of Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer (Ex-Servicemen) along with discharge book and identity card for verification

AP EDCET 2024 Spot Admissions

Here are the major pointers related to AP EDCET 2024 spot admissions -

  • The spot admissions are organised to complete the vacancies that have not been filled via the previous rounds of counselling.
  • Aspirants who have not obtained enrolment are qualified for spot counselling.
  • Applicants will not be accepted for spot admission if they do not have their original certificates. The certificates for the qualifying examination must be from an AICTE-authorised college or institution.
  • The candidates are required to pay the processing fee. The charges will vary for AP EDCET qualified aspirants and for those AP EDCET non-qualified ones or who have not appeared.
  • Please note that the authorities will give first preference to AP EDCET-qualified candidates.
  • Aspirants will have to present the list of documents specified by the authorities for verification during spot counselling.
