About AP EDCET 2025 (Counselling Begins Soon)

AP EDCET 2025: AP EDCET 2025 counselling is anticipated to commence in September 2025. Those who cleared the entrance test can take part in it to gain AP EDCET seat allotment. The main stages include registration, uploading documents for online verification, exercising web choices, college allocation, reporting, and fee payment. 

Previously, AP EDCET 2025 was conducted on June 5, 2025, and the results were declared on June 20, 2025. The entrance test is held every year to shortlist candidates for the 2-year B.Ed course at the participating colleges. The total duration of the entrance exam is 2 hours and will be held in online mode. It will have three parts. Part A has General English, and Part B includes General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude. Part C has a Methodology segment, which will consist of Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Social Studies, and English. Out of the subjects available for Part C, the exam takers will have to select one.  

Students who have completed their BA, B.Sc, BCA, B.Com, BBM, BE or B.Tech can apply for the AP EDCET examination. The minimum age limit to apply for AP EDCET is 19 years, and there is no maximum age limit to apply for it.

Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test or AP EDCET, as it is popularly known, will be conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Amravati.

AP EDCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who meet the AP EDCET 2025 eligibility criteria can appear for the examination. To be eligible for the exam, students have to meet the following requirements, nationality, academic qualification, age, etc. 

AP EDCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

Following are the national eligibility measures for AP EDCET 2025 aspiring students:

  • Candidates have to be Indian Nationals.
  • Must meet Local/Non-Local status criteria as stated in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.

AP EDCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Academic Qualification

Below we have mentioned the academic qualifications to appear for AP EDCET 2025.

  • The students while submitting the AP EDCET 2025 Application form must have cleared or appeared for their final year BA/B.Sc/BBM/B.Com/BCA examination. 
  • At the time of admission candidates have to provide their pass certificate.
  • General category students must score at least 50% marks either in their Bachelor’s degree and/or in their Master’s degree or in 5 years of a relevant integrated course. 
  • The Reserved category (SC/ST/BC/PwD) students must score a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. 
  • BE/B.Tech candidates are also eligible to apply for AP EDCET 2025 provided they have studied Mathematics or Physics.

Students applying for AP EDCET 2025 must have completed 19 years of age as of July 1, 2025. The minimum age limit to apply for AP EDCET 2025 is 19 years while there is no upper age limit.

The conducting body will issue AP EDCET 2025 results on the official website, within a few weeks after the exam. Those who qualify the admission test will be eligible for the AP EDCET counselling process. Once the result link is activated, they have to enter the registration number and the hall ticket number. They also need to download the AP EDCET rank card by providing the required details.

What is the qualifying mark for the AP EDCET 2025?

According to the exam officials, the qualifying marks in the AP EDCET 2025 examination for General category students are 37 (i.e. 25%) out of the total marks of the examination, except for SC/ ST category candidates. As such, there won’t be any qualifying marks for the Reserved category students for ranking. There won’t be minimum qualifying marks for women in Physical Sciences or Mathematics methodology in AP EDCET. 

What are the eligibility criteria for AP EDCET?

Students appearing for the AP EDCET must be Indian nationals and meet the local/ non-local status criteria in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Since you are pursuing the B.Tech course, you can cover the Physics topics from your course books as well as the NCERT books of classes 11 and 12. "Concepts of Physics" by H.C.
