BHU UET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of BHU UET 2022 is prescribed by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for all the courses offered by the University. Before applying for BHU UET 2022, candidates must check the detailed eligibility requirements for UG courses. The BHU UET 2022 eligibility norms are based on various factors such as, age limit, academic qualifications, minimum marks and other requirements. Common Eligibility Criteria of BHU UET 2022

Some of the basic requirements that candidates must fulfill have been given below:

  • Passing Class 12 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST candidates and 45% marks for OBC candidates) from a recognised board/ Indian university/ foreign university.

  • Candidates must not be more than 22 years of age as on July 1 of year of admission.

  • Those who are sitting for Class 12 board exams this year can also apply provided they present their original mark sheet of passing 12th Class at the time of BHU counselling.

  • Candidates will be given conditional admission if they are not able to produce the mark sheet at the time of counselling.

However, following are some of the prerequisites for securing conditional admission at BHU.

• The final mark sheet must be produced within the stipulated date and time.

• Candidates must produce the previous years’ mark sheets in which they have qualified the examination with at least 50% marks. This rule is not applicable on candidates from the reserved category.

B.Com. (Hons.)/ B.Com. (Hons.) Financial Markets Management

10+2 or its equivalent with Commerce/ Maths/ Economics/ Computer

Sc./ Financial Markets Management/ Finance as one of the subjects and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate and should have cleared the specified subject.

Candidate must not be more than 22 years of age as on July 1 of year of admission. Candidate must not be more than 22 years of age as on July 1 of year of admission.

B. Sc. (Hons.) Maths Group

10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects from Chemistry, Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology and

Geography with 50% marks in aggregate.

B. Sc. (Hons.) Bio Group

10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and one of the subjects from Geology, Biology, and Geography with 50% marks in aggregate.

Shastri (Hons.)

• Cleared MADHYAMA test of BHU/ Uttar Madhyama/ Madhyama/Upa Shastri/Intermediate or 10+2 or its equivalent with securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.

• Candidates should have studied Sanskrit as one of the subjects in the mentioned exam. Or,

• Candidates who have completed one year duration certificate course in Sanskrit from Banaras Hindu University post completion of class 10+2 or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible.

Candidate must not be more than 22 years of age as on July 1 of year of admission.

08.

(B. Ed. and B. Ed. Special Education)

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/ Sciences/Humanities, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with speciality in Mathematics and Science along with 50% marks.

• Candidates should have studied one of the school subjects such as either at graduation or post-graduation level.

  • It is mandatory for the candidates to satisfy the detailed BHU UET Eligibility Criteria 2022. 

  • Candidates who are given admission into the university will not be allowed to simultaneously pursue any other course from BHU/other universities.

  • Candidates will have to avail a Certificate of Conversion from the concerned institution mentioning either the converted percentage or the formula of conversion from grade points to a number their qualifying exam mark sheet does not mention the equivalent percentage of grade points.

  • Final year candidates who are about to give their qualifying examination or are waiting for the result can also apply for admission. However, the candidates will be admitted conditionally to the programme until they provide the original mark sheets. If the candidates fail to provide the mark sheets, their candidature will be cancelled.
