Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi prescribes the IIMC entrance exam eligibility criteria 2020 for the candidates who wish to apply for the entrance examination in the month of March, 2020. Checking the IIMC entrance exam eligibility criteria must be the first step towards applying for the examination. All the IIMC aspirants who are planning to appear for the examination must fulfill all the IIMC 2020 eligibility requirements as it is mandatory for all the appearing candidates.  

The eligibility criteria of IIMC entrance exam 2020 comprises of different parameters which candidates have to fulfill before they start filling the application form. Nationality

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the IIMC entrance exam.

  •  For NRIs/NRI-sponsored candidates, Five seats will be reserved for in every course.

  • NRI and NRI sponsored candidates will have to submit separate application forms.  Such candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam as well as Group discussion and Interview.

Age Limit

  • For SC/ST/PH category candidates born on August 1, 1989, or later are eligible to apply.

  • For General category candidates born on August 1, 1994, or later are eligible to apply.

  • For OBC category candidates born on August 1, 1991, or later are eligible to apply.

Academic Qualification

  • To apply for IIMC entrance exam, candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a recognised university or an institute.

  • The Graduation degree of the candidates should be from a recognised institute or university.

  • Final year candidates who are waiting for their results can also apply for the entrance exam. However, such candidates must submit their final year mark sheets/certificates before August 31, 2020.

IIMC 2020 Reservation of Seats

  • Indian Institute of Mass Communication 2020 will have certain number of seats reserved for candidates belonging to SC, ST, PH, OBC categories. The seats will be reserved for the candidates according to the guidelines that are laid down by the government.

  • Candidates will have to submit a medical certificate if they are applying under physically handicapped quota.

  • Candidates will have to submit their caste certificate if they are seeking reservation under different categories.
