As per the JEE Advanced 2026 exam pattern, the exam will be conducted for two mandatory papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2, each covering three hours. The JEE Advanced 2026 Question Paper contains three sections - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics – for a total of 360 marks.

The JEE Advanced exam pattern covers the marking scheme, question types, exam length, total score, and other information. According to the JEE Advanced 2026 exam pattern, questions may be worth one, two, three, or four marks. The IIT Roorkee tentatively will release the JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2026 on the official website: jeeadv.ac.in. Overview of JEE Advanced 2025 Exam Pattern

General Instructions for Computer Based Test

The general instructions for the computer based test of JEE Advanced exam is mentioned below.

  • Students must use the password that has been assigned to them to log in to the exam.
  • To begin the exam, candidates must first log in and then click the "proceed" and "Start" buttons.
  • Throughout the JEE Advanced exam, the keyboard will not be functional.
  • Only the "mouse" will be used by candidates to provide the answers.
