Kerala SET 2026 exam pattern is prescribed by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology. The Kerala SET exam is divided into two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam is conducted in offline mode and MCQ questions are asked in both papers. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 have 120 questions each and the duration for each exam is 2 hours.

Kerala SET 2026 Exam Pattern

The Kerala SET January 2026 exam pattern was prescribed by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology. Candidates who appeared for the exam on February 22, 2026, were evaluated based on a two-paper structure designed to test both general teaching competence and subject-specific expertise. Analyzing this pattern is now essential for candidates to cross-check their responses with the provisional answer keys released on February 23, 2026.

The Kerala SET January 2026 exam consisted of two mandatory papers:

  • Paper I: This was common for all candidates and was divided into two parts: Part A (General Knowledge) and Part B (Teaching Aptitude).
  • Paper II: This paper focused on the specific subject of specialization as opted by the candidate during their Post Graduate (PG) program. There were 31 different subjects available for Paper II in the January 2026 session.
