After the declaration of results, NEST 2018 counselling dates will be available for candidates who qualify the examination. NEST 2018 counselling procedure is conducted in offline mode in various rounds and is likely to begin in the last week of June. To participate in the NEST 2018 counselling, candidates have to report at the counselling venue on the specified date and time.
The counselling is organised in the following manner:
In the first phase of counselling, candidates have to report at the counselling venue of their choice. The next thing is NEST joint counselling, which is conducted for NISER & UM-DAE CEBS as per the NEST original merit list.
Qualified candidates are offered admission in NISER & UM-DAE CEBS on the basis of modified merit list, which is prepared after the first round of counselling.
A second counselling takes place depending on the seats left vacant at the institutes. However, it is not a joint counselling.
In the second round, each participating institute prepares their own waiting list. The vacant seats are filled based on the waitlist declared by the participating institutions on their respective websites.
Note: If candidates fail to meet any of the criteria as mentioned by the participating institutes, it could result in cancellation of their admission. In case, a candidate wishes to withdraw his/her admission, he/she may do so through mail or in person.
