PU CET (Panjab University Common Entrance Test) is a university entrance examination. It is held to provide admission to PU Chandigarh's B.Sc (Hons.) and B.Pharmacy programmes. This section, however, contains some important details regarding the PU CET UG counselling process 2026:

• The qualified and eligible candidates have to register themselves for the PU CET UG 2026 counselling process through the official website of Panjab University, Chandigarh

• Candidates have to lock their preferences within the given timeline and submit them

• The candidates can pay the PU CET 2026 counselling registration fee via both online and offline modes

• The candidates will be called up as per their merit rank to participate in the PUCET 2026 counselling process.

• After the provisional allotment, the candidates have to carry their documents and admission fee to their respective departments of the university

• The allocated seats of those candidates will be cancelled who will be absent from the scene of document verification and payment of admission fee

Step-Wise PU CET UG Counselling Process 2026 Counselling Process

All candidates must understand the complete PU CET UG 2026 counselling process. Following is the step-wise PU CET UG 2026 counselling process:

• Filling the Admission Form: PU CET 2026 admission form is made available on the official website of the university, a day after the PU CET UG 2026 Result is announced. Candidates are required to fill out the admission form and send the hard copy to the exam authority.

• Filling of Preferences: The applicants must submit the PUCET counselling 2026 fee either in online or offline. The choice filling will take place in online mode on the official website. Candidates have to lock their choices very carefully because no corrections will be allowed once the preferences are locked. The distribution of seats will be based on the PU CET 2026 Merit list.

After seat allotment, candidates are required to pay the PUCET 2026 admission fee. Candidates must complete the following steps for the online process:

• Step 1: Go to the official website of Panjab University.
• Step 2: Find the payment link under 'Important Instructions for Selected Candidates'.
• Step 3: Head to the payment page.
• Step 4: Use the login credentials and enter the correct fee code for the subject/ course.
• Step 5: Make the payment using net banking/ debit card/ credit card.
• Step 6: Download the receipt and take a printout of it.

Merit List for Physical Counselling 2026

To check if the candidates have made it to the physical counselling or not, they need to follow the steps:

• Step 1: Visit the official website of Panjab University.
• Step 2: Click on the ‘ PU CET (UG) Merit List 2026 (for Physical Counselling)’ under the main menu
• Step 3: On clicking the link, the candidate will be able to see a list of courses with different categories.
• Step 4: Look for the course to which he/she has applied, and the category to which you belong.
• Step 5: On clicking the link, a merit list of candidates will appear on the screen.

The merit list will consist of the following components:

• PU CET (UG) 2026 Rank
• PU CET (UG) 2026 Roll Number
• Candidate name
• Total merit marks
• PU CET (UG) 2026 marks
• Candidates who fail to be present in person for the physical counselling will not be considered for admission to the courses offered by the University.
