Different courses will have different reservation schemes. The detailed PUCET UG 2026 reservation criteria are listed below:
One seat is reserved for the student of foreign origin nominated by the Government of India.
One seat is reserved for a student from the States and Union Territories lacking facilities in this field and repatriates from Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, etc.
Two seats are reserved for the students from the rural area category and 1 seat for Border Area students.
Two seats are reserved for the single girl child with no male siblings.
One seat is reserved for a student suffering from Cancer/ AIDS/ Thalassemia.
Additional seats will be created for children of officers who have served during the Kargil war.

Panjab University provides the privilege to the candidates taking the PU CET UG 2026 exam to submit the request for verification of his/ her PU CET UG 2026 Results. The following steps are involved in the PU CET UG Result Re-Evaluation 2026 process:
Candidates need to provide a photocopy of his/her answer sheet along with a payment of Rs. 10,000/- for result verification.
It is mandatory for the candidates to submit the application within 10 days after the PU CET UG entrance exam result.
The office will process the complete procedure within 3 working days.
If any discrepancy arises in the result of the candidate, Panjab University will revise the PU CET UG 2026 Result accordingly and refund the deposited fee to the candidate.
If two or more candidates score equal or identical marks in the PU CET UG 2026 examination, the University uses the PU CET tie-breaker criteria as mentioned below.
The candidate who has scored a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination will be ranked higher.
If the marks are still equal, priority is given to the candidate securing higher marks in class 12 or equivalent examination.
After this, if the marks are still identical, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.

A cut off is the minimum score a candidate must achieve on the entrance exam in order to be considered for admission to the university. Candidates will be offered admission based on the final merit list, which will be released after the university has declared the results.
