The PU CET 2024 results will be released tentatively in the month of May 2024 on official website.
The Panjab University Common Entrance Test has been divided into two parts: Panjab University Common Entrance Test in Undergraduate (PU CET UG) and Panjab University Common Entrance Test in Post Graduate (PU CET PG).
Candidates will be able to view their PU CET UG Result 2024 through online mode only at cetug.puchd.ac.in.
PU CET UG merit list 2024 will be published by the University after the result announcement. The PU CET UG merit list will contain the names of candidates who qualify the examination and get shortlisted for the counselling process. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for the counselling process.
Panjab University will publish PU CET results showing the list of ‘Qualified’ and ‘Not Qualified’ candidates.
PU CET UG cutoff percentage for the General category is 15% of the total marks. Those candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwD need minimum attainment of 10% of total marks.
If a candidate wishes to verify his/her result, he/she will be provided with a photocopy of his/her answer sheet for a fee of Rs.10,000/- within 10 days of the Entrance Test result being declared, and the office will complete the entire procedure within three working days. If a discrepancy is discovered in the candidate's results, the results will be revised and the fee deposited will be refunded.

Panjab University will release the PU CET UG Cutoff 2024 as a provisional merit list. The PU CET UG 2024 merit list will solely depend on the marks obtained by candidates in the PU CET UG 2024 result. PU will decide on the PU CET UG Cutoff 2024 after the release of the PU entrance exam 2024. The cut off 2024 will determine a candidate’s credibility to appear for the counselling procedure.

One seat is reserved for the student of foreign origin nominated by the Government of India.
One seat is reserved for a student from the States and Union Territories lacking facilities in this field and repatriates from Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, etc.
Two seats are reserved for the students from the rural area category and 1 seat for Border Area students.
Two seats are reserved for the single girl child with no male siblings.
One seat is reserved for a student suffering from Cancer/ AIDS/ Thalassemia.

The admission authorities of Panjab University, Chandigarh, will also release the PU CET UG 2024 answer key after the release of the PU CET 2024 result and merit list. PU will also release the PU CET UG exam paper 2024 and the PU CET UG answer key 2024 online after the exam is conducted.
If any error occurs in the PU CET UG Answer Key 2024, it is imperative for the students to write an official letter that must reach the office within 2 days of the answer key getting published. Candidates can raise objections regarding discrepancies and key accuracy by e-mail to arcet@pu.ac.in. Objections will be posted on the website, and cross-objections will be accepted within a certain time frame. Candidates need to provide a photocopy of his/her answer sheet along with a payment of Rs. 10,000/- for result verification.

PU CET UG 2024 Counselling process will begin in the month of October 2024. Only those candidates who qualify for the PU CET 2024 entrance exam become eligible to appear for the counselling process and seek admission in Panjab University. If two or more candidates score equal or identical marks in the PU CET 2024 examination, the University uses the PU CET tie-breaker criteria as mentioned below.
The candidate who has scored a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination will be ranked higher.
If the marks are still equal, priority is given to the candidate securing higher marks in class 12 or equivalent examination.
After this, if the marks are still identical, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
