SEED Eligibility Criteria 2026

Symbiosis Institute of Design has made changes to the SEED 2026 eligibility criteria and is now available in PDF form on this website, sid.edu.in. For admission to Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Pune, one must fulfil the eligibility requirements for SEED 2026. The eligibility for the exam shall remain that candidates must have passed the 12th class or its equivalent examination with at least an aggregate of 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST candidates, irrespective of the stream of eligibility, i.e., Science, Commerce, or Arts) from a recognized examining board. The SEED 2026 will be held on January 11, 2026. The criteria for eligibility are detailed below.

Nationality Requirement for SEED 2026

Only Indian nationals can enrol for the SEED 2026 entrance exam. Candidates must be able to provide relevant documents to prove their nationality. Any applicant who lies or fails to reveal their nationality will be rejected. Nationality-related documents such as Aadhaar cards, passports, UIDs, and PAN cards would be rigorously scrutinised.

If a candidate has completed their 12th grade (10+2) or any similar test from a foreign institution or board, the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) requires an equivalent certificate. Can Candidates Appearing for Final Exam Apply for SEED 2026?

Yes, candidates who are appearing for the final qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for SEED 2026, provided that the exam result should have been declared by June of the admission year or before June. Also, any individual who fails the 12th grade exam but later clears the immediate compartmental examination, which is held in the same year, on their first attempt, is eligible for provisional admissions at SID.

What is the Age Criteria for SEED 2026?

There is no age limit for appearing for SEED. The conducting body has released no age boundations and as long as the aspiring candidates are fulfilling the educational qualification and minimum aggregate marks, they are eligible to apply for SEED.

I am appearing for the final exam for Class 12th. Can I still apply for SEED?
