For good preparation of the exam, it is advisable for the candidates to prepare an effective study strategy before the exam and stick to it. Following a planned study will help the students to score well and qualify for the exam. If you are preparing for the exam one month from the exam date, it is important to dedicate at least 12 hours to your preparation in order to stand in the competition. Meanwhile, it is also important to divide the syllabus for Paper-I and Paper-II and prepare accordingly for a better score. Also, remember to cover one topic from both the papers each day.

The students must be aware of the exam pattern, syllabus, marking scheme and other aspects of the test. Getting familiar with the exam pattern and marking scheme will help the students to understand which kind of questions will be asked in the exam and how they should answer those questions. Similarly, getting familiar with the syllabus will help the students understand which topics they need to cover for the test.
The candidates must prepare a timetable and stick to it for their preparation. It is also advisable to allot time according to the difficulty level of the topics. Allot more time to the subjects in which you are weak and less time to the topics you know thoroughly.
